Maybe they saw the writing on the wall

He definitely was struggling of late but I think his injury (which is why he is currently on IL) played a part in his struggle.

He struggled with control the last few starts but still had better ERA than several on the staff.

At best I think this was a push. I just think we needed an arm more than we needed a bat.

If Javier (who got the start tonight) can do well the remaining of the season, then this can be a good trade.

I liked Arrighetti, but he had some very early exits. We do need pitching more than OFs.

Play just now…..Straw is super fast, but not that fast. Lol

Astros had 10 hits tonight but can only score 1 run.

Javier actually had a quality start going 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits. 2 K's, BB.

Astro pitching did it's job tonight.

Imai may end up being extremely valuable if he can replicate tonight's performance a few more times before the season ends. We shall see.

I agree. If Javier can give quality starts and Imai solid innings out of the pen, then I feel much better about our pitching staff.
