AggiesAreWe Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 Total team loss. Just played bad in all aspects. Got to be better tomorrow rupert3 1 Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 6 runs is difficult to overcome and 0 for 7 with runners in scoring position isn't helpful. Long ball from an unlikely source gave hope, but it wasn't to be today. rupert3 1 Quote
navydawg31 Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 The Astros before the game looked out of it and defeated… buddy said before the game this doesn’t look good. He was right… Im afraid to say but I believe the gas tank is empty for the Astros for the 2026 season. Quote
spidersal Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 The Astros just didn’t do a good job of hitting with risotto and Blubaugh, King, and Sousa were simply bad Hopefully they can back tomorrow and do well and make it to game 3 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 Joe Espada will not be back as manager. Houston is on the clock to hire. rupert3 1 Quote

Chandler Rome is claiming the new GM will be allowed to hire the next manager. Not sure what to think about Espada. The ingredients to cook with the last few years definitely didn't match the better rosters over the past decade or so. Some of the ingredients are outdated and some new additions were/are off brand items at name brand prices. BEARCPA, AggiesAreWe and rupert3 3 Quote
baddog Posted yesterday at 05:46 PM Author Report Posted yesterday at 05:46 PM Rumors have it that Paredes and Walker may be trade bait since Correa will be back. Me, I’d trade Correa. rupert3 1 Quote

Me, I’d trade Correa. If any team is willing to trade for Walker that oganization will expect the Astros to pick up 50% if not more of his salary. Not sure he is movable. Heck, Correa may not be either. Quote

I also would have kept Dubón, but that’s just me. Probably why I’m not in upper management. Lol Also, as a manager, all of my hitters have the green light on a 3-0 count. rupert3 1 Quote
spidersal Posted 56 minutes ago Report Posted 56 minutes ago Walker is an outstanding defensive player. He has power at the plate, just very inconsistent Where is Correa going to play. Pena is an excellent SS, unless you put him at SS and move Pena to 2nd and DH Altuve which would mean that Alvarez would have to start in the OF. They have to do something to acquire some decent pitchers because the pitching is bad especially the bullpen I would certainly get rid of several of those Quote
