PAM

LP

BU

Lufkin

these are your playoff teams. As long as BU offense keep rolling , they can beat west brook and sterling.
4 wins pretty much gives u a playoff spot. As of now, PAM has a spot of at least 4th and will increase with each win.  LP can lock up a spot IF they beat PAM Friday..

big games

Lufkin vs West Brook is a hard one to call, but Lufkin must win

BU vs West Brook

BU vs Sterling

Sterling vs GCM

Technically, if Brook run the table, they could be in

It will be tough for LP to beat PAM with LP's defense playing the way it has been. We all know it. But, I'm voting for them anyway as a homer pick. I do say, if they are TO free, they have a shot. PAM's offense isn't near what it was last year, and they've been taking advantage of a slew of TO's to get short fields, and keep opponents from scoring. If they come up against a team that can score points, be TO free, and pin them deep with special teams, that team has a good shot at a win. PAM hasn't shown to be able to consistently drive the entire length of the field on sustained drives very often.

Could LP be that team? Possibly. Depends on if they were able to address defensive issues during the bye week.

Lp defense will make Pam offense look like last year in 2 nights 🫡

Maybe. Funny thing is, they've been in position most of the time. They're just not completing the play. So, I can't really say it's the coaching. Yes, they have allowed some explosive plays. But, the coverage has been better than previous years. It's almost like Lufkin against BU. Lufkin's D isn't near what they showed against BU. I don't know how many TO's LP has created. But, I don't remember many at all.

Beaumont Bowl next week is very meaningful for playoff seeding now. 🍿 Going to be paying attention to that one.

One thing I didn't hear about during the week is the district tiebreaker scenarios.... @ThaGhost did you get any info on that?

I am checking with a district HC...

He thinks its net points with a max of 18....

Gotta determine if its for two spots do you pull a team out and revert or once you go points do you stay pts

That's my question as well. Not sure which way this district goes in that regard.

May want to check on a 4-way as well. That’s still not totally out of the question.

Right now, La Porte is still on track to win their 4th consecutive District Championship.

  • 2023: 9-5AD1
  • 2024: 11-5AD1
  • 2025: 11-5AD1
  • 2026: ???

La Porte's last loss in district play came on Oct. 6, 2023 in a come-from-behind win by PAM in Port Arthur in Berneathy's 2nd year. Injuries are beginning to pile up and really test the Dawgs' depth. Next man up...

This tiebreaker applies to a 4 way as well

Something still tells me this is gonna be a mess. Exciting. But, a mess!
