As an independent nation, no, they are not. Our “allies” should be willing to listen to anything America has to say about the Golden Dome, especially Canada. Do you know anything about the missile defense system? That’s what I thought. Please explain exactly what the role of an ally encompasses. Is it to resist the country who has had your back for so many years? Do you keep friends around who treat you like that? We have allies worldwide, not just NATO. Imagine that? In fact, our SE Asian allies (Philippines, Thailand, Japan, S. Korea), and including Australia, have fit the definition much better.

I agree, we have our foot print in Greenland. However, this is all theater and a distraction.from the releasing files. When this dies down it will be that he has decided to cancel the elections because of civil unrest.
