While I do think Newton will win the state championship… I believe Wall and Gunter are both a good bit better than East Bernard…

Yes. Wall and Gunter are much better than East Bernard. Either team will play Newton a better game than any other opponent has in the playoffs. However, I just don't see either of those teams beating this Newton squad. Newton is pretty elite for 3AD2 football this season. They stay consistent and keep getting better each week. One more, one more!

Newton by a country mile in the state championship. Doesn't matter who they play. Wall and Gunter could combine teams and the figs would still win in my opinion! In addition, I wish they could play right after in the D1 game. I'd put money up that they'd win that one also.

Probably cause Gunter Won 3 titles in a row and going for 4th .. Newton destroyed them in 2017 and once the defending champ . I think Wall may beat them though

They learned how to spell “Gunter” on their spirit signs a couple of years ago. Nobody wants to teach them how to spell “Wall.”

this is funny because while in beaumont the other day, i was talking to somebody who mentioned newton had a good chance at going back to state to play a team called gunna.  i politely asked, who is gunna?  they said, up by dallas area you know, gunna?

I said, do you mean Gunter?  she said, yea gunna. and it was at the point, we had an understanding.

I haven’t seen Newton play this year, but they are whipping the hell out of people. I have no doubt them that they’re about to pick up some hardware again next week.
