Can someone inform me on why the two schools choose Jack Rhodes stadium? Perhaps this was the only stadium that would host such a game. Was any other stadium not looked at in the Houston area? I am placing a link from Texasbob as to location and directions. Any insight would be grateful. This is the semi finals, I know price, flip of the coin maybe, or driving distance is a factor.

Just exactly where do you think the game should be played?

I see no problem with Rhodes Stadium. It has hosted several playoff games.

Katy is more of a halfway point for both schools.

I just thought a more newer stadium, like Randall Reed or someplace that could have more capacity.  Just a question.

Rhodes (9700) holds more than Randall Reed (8200). Also Randall Reed is not nearly halfway for both teams like Katy.

Really the only other stadium that would be a good fit would be Cy-Fair FCU Stadium at Cypress or Legacy Stadium at Katy. Both of those are taken. Maybe Tomball ISD or Ken Hall or Mercer in Sugarland or Freedom in Iowa Colony.

Pretty sure Sinton would not agree to any stadium east, southeast, north or northeast of Houston. That takes out several stadiums.

Best fit for all is something west or southwest of Houston. That keeps travel pretty even.

Living in Spring, Houston traffic is bad not matter what time you try, but 99 is a good choice.

And teams were already playing at Randall Reed Thursday (Newton) and Friday(Shiner vs. Mount Enterprise) no way would those two teams agree to do a Saturday game with more than likely Carthage awaiting

4Ad2 championship is on Friday at 3pm. Followed by 5Ad1 at 7. We couldve brought whole triangle to a double header a week early. But it dont matter now. It is what is scheduled. Let's go meet em
