I don’t think the horns deserve to get in with 3 losses, but I DO think it’s a shame they didn’t play Samford week one. And that’s not a knock on the ags, they played notre dame. It just sucks that a 14-7 non-conference loss at OSU will keep the horns out of the playoff. Nobody else has lost by less than 18 to the buckeyes this year.

For me, it’s why the playoffs were created, so that teams don’t have to go undefeated to win the national title. Texas still has a chance.

I agree that they probably shouldn’t make the playoff at 9-3. Not looking forward to the endless arguing from both sides for the next 2 weeks.

A&M is still little brother… their best season is an average Texas season.. still no championship appearances.

I agree. It’s a bad one. But it doesn’t change the fact that if they hadn’t scheduled a top-3 opponent week one they’d be in the playoffs. They lost by 7 to a team nobody else has played closer than 18 points this year. Also @wo-s#1, I think the site did something weird and I may have accidentally deleted this post I’m replying to, or there is some sort of glitch. If I did, it was unintentional.

SMU loses.  Duke(7-5) will play for ACC Championship.  Chandler Rivers will get a shot at Virginia.

Conference Championships are set

 

Ohio St vs Indiana 
Georgia vs Alabama
Texas Tech vs BYU
Virginia vs Duke

Supposedly they won’t punish teams for losing these games.  If Bama loses they will have 3 losses.  Are they in?  
 

The conference champs aren’t guaranteed a spot this year.  If Duke wins, the ACC may not get a team.  Miami thinks they should be in.
