Hope the committee agrees with you. Not sure if the SLC has ever had 3 teams and many years only has the automatic qualifier representing the conference. Now, the top teams are positioned well this year.. Another issue is the addition of the Ivy League to the playoffs removes an at large bid. You likely know most if not all this information though. One of the better ones in 15 plus years go the Confrence… I wish I could find the video I saw on TikTok about SLC becoming top 3 Confrence again not just football but all sports in FCS.. also talked about gaining a few members into it, there has been talks, that came from high up at Lamar at the game this past Saturday… SLC needs to finish strong. Just hope that Lamar lost against Incarnate Word didn’t come back to haunt them… if that would have been a win I would say regardless what would happen with SFA, Lamar would be a shoe in…. But Lamar just needs to handle business and win out. myrecordwashorrible 1 Quote
spidersal Posted Wednesday at 10:10 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:10 PM Lamar is having a phenomenal year, however a loss to SFA Saturday will probably eliminate them from the playoffs due to their loss to a very poor UIW team Again the committee does think much of the SLC. Hopefully Lamar will win out, but it is going to be tough. They usually do not play well vs SFA especially in Nacogdoches Quote

Your negativity actually makes me smile and i truly mean it. Keep being you! I do want to point something out though. There are several teams with bad losses that are included in the projections. Also, 2 teams that are possibly goung to make the playoffs have a loss to Lamar. South Dakota and SELA. Is the UIW loss bad? Yes. Does it guarantee (probably is your persoective) they are out with a loss to SFA? No. Put a smile on that face and enjoy the ride. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
spidersal Posted Thursday at 02:46 AM Report Posted Thursday at 02:46 AM We will see. Hopefully they will win out, because I still don’t the committee likes the SLC. Rarely in any sport have they ever selected more than One team from the SLC for the playoffs Quote

myrecordwashorrible Posted yesterday at 01:17 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 01:17 AM Final scare: SFA 26 LU 15. Beat the Cowboys and see if the Cards get in the FCS playoffs. Quote
spidersal Posted yesterday at 01:17 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:17 AM The Cards still have a very good chance of going 9-3, which would be a tremendous season I would like to see them make the playoffs, however the committee has never been impressed with the SLC. If they do happen to pick 2 teams from the SLC, the 2nd team will be SELa since they will be 2nd in the conference IMO, I don’t see the committee choosing 3 from the SLC, but still a very good season for Lamar Unfortunately the loss to UIW did them in Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted 3 hours ago Author Report Posted 3 hours ago Stats Perform (the one posted in NCAA's website) and FCS coaches poll have Lamar at 19 this week. SELA sits at 20. At present it appears the head to win carrying weight. Projections are limited thus far but what I'm finding has Lamar and SELA in the playoffs. South Dakota State taking a 4th straight loss has opened a spot. All Lamar can do now is win and wait. Yes, Uncle Spidey, I know your prediction. One interesting note...teams from the same conference that did not play in the regular season can play each other in the first round. One bracket has SFA as the 14th seed and hosting SELA. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I think not only does Lamar have to win but they need to blow McNeese out for some style points. Quote
