Exactly right.  I just heard that the Dems wants to keep the government shutdown until after the elections.  I guess they think it's a political win for them having the Schumer shutdown continue!

Ever hear of food deserts? Most poor people live in them. Salt, sugar, and fat is about all they have available. That and substandard healthcare. Diabetes and obesity thrive in those circumstances. What’s your BMI? Just curious.

The shutdown is going to be over only because the election is over for now. It was nothing more than an election talking point for the Dems. Anyone who didn’t see that is really foolish.

The Democrats whined because they lost the last election. They don’t have the votes to get their way so they held America hostage for a month and a half, had benefits cut for some people, got others furloughed, screwed up air traffic for…… absolutely nothing.

It was an attempt to get around the legislative process. In other words, we don’t have the votes to get our way so we will stomp our feet in anger and have people hurt so that we can do what we don’t have the votes to do!!

 The second in charge of the Democrats in the House (minority whip) literally said that this was their only way to get around not having the votes to pass their agenda. They don’t like that elections have consequences. I guarantee that the Republicans didn’t go along with Obamacare but they didn’t have the votes to stop it. That’s the way it works.

So after several weeks of causing suffering for many people, with no results, 8 Democrats finally gave in, knowing that it was suffering inflicted for show.

Will they use the same tactic in a few months?
