Decent game for the eagles tonight. Still not the exact group of guys I would prefer on the defensive front but they were definitely positioned better than last week for the most part. Still struggled to stop the run especially first half but turned up the intensity and took over on both sides of the ball at the beginning of the second half. Let up a little by the end of the third but we're able to finish semi strong. Babin looked great. Connection between him and Tolar looks improved and even better than last year. Also seen a very nice TD grab from Shird. I had forgotten how good that kid was a couple years ago on jv. Harris at safety with Kelly and Mitchell at CB looked like a good group in the secondary second half. Really like the energy Mitchell plays with. Be interesting to see how next week turns out. Coldsprings has a tough, hard running QB, a big OLine from what I hear, and a decent coach in my opinion. We'll see how the defense holds up against them.

the starting running back for Anahuac  is still out with concussion hopefully he will be back next week he would have made a big difference in this game I think

Woodville offense really came on in 2nd half. Anahuac had lot's of issues slowing down the Eagle passing game.

Babin was very sharp. Oline did a good job of pass protection in 2nd half. RB was a load as well.

Anahuac started out well, but Woodville definitely made some adjustments to slow down the Panther offense.

All in all a good overall game. 

I think this just shows how good a team Orangefield really is.

BTW, was on Woodville sideline in 2nd half. Had a conversation or two. Let's just say some laughs were shared. Seems I have a fan club. LOL

That's the only thing we got going for us.  I truly hope we will get out of Shepherd tomorrow with no injuries.  They're way better than last season and we barely beat them on the last series of the game.  I expect them to compete for the last playoff spot in their district.

Shepherd has a good DLine for sure. That might be a bad match up for yall. But next week's match up might be interesting

Prior Coach would not allow a run through.(9 years he did not allow a run through).  He denied multiple requests from the team to let them have one and sponsors willing to buy one. (Woodville lost his first game with the run through and he decided the run through was bad luck). No one has stepped up to sponsor one yet for the new coach.

Not a big deal either way really. But if that's what the players want then why not. I'm not the one sponsoring
