I have not called anyone stupid or ignorant or negative  That would be you folks calling me that.  I am glad you believe in the Astros, however that doesn’t mean that they are playing well. When I state that they are not, all these excuses for the team not playing well come out  It is good to believe and be loyal as a fan, but to not recognize when they are not playing well IMO doesn’t make sense

Now need a Cleveland win tonight and the Astros will be tied with Detroit for the final playoff spot with three games to play.

Detroit finishes with a three game series at Boston.

Houston will play at the Angels to finish the regular season.

Still have a chance.

I never said that they were playing well because the are not at this point.  They are playing  great considering what has gone on and still be in the hunt.  Enough said.

Framber Valdez against the A's: 7 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 10 K, 92 pitches, 65 strikes, 48 swings, 16 whiffs, 10 groundouts, 89.7 mph average exit velocity. If that was it for Valdez in an Astros uniform, it was a vintage showing. He finishes the season with a 3.66 ERA.

Yes it certainly is a nice win for Houston. Valdez finally pitches well again and he gets much needed run support When this happens you usually win. Now they need a sweep and help to get in

Detroit wins, Boston losing in the 9th. Not sure how much that helps. We just need to sweep the Angels.

Yep. Need to sweep or Detroit to lose all three to Boston or Cleveland to lose all three to Texas and we win two of three.

Astros are a game back of Cleveland and Detroit and two back of Boston. If we finish tied with Cleveland and Detroit, we are out.

Detroit plays Boston

Cleveland plays Texas

Houston plays Angels.

Yea, best scenario is Astros sweep Angels and Red Sox beat Detroit 2 out of 3.

The one thing that I am definitely finding out for all the ones that want to call my comments ignorant or that my posts are always negative is that these fine folks know very little about athletics They may not watch the games or may not recognize what is going on or simply don’t understand what it takes to win

Yes, it is 100% ignorant to think that a team would not be greatly affected by having 30 players on the IL during a season.
