AggiesAreWe Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 Wow!! Astros won 80 games with 14 games remaining. Never a doubt. Well except for the extreme resident pessimist. rupert3 1 Quote

baddog Posted September 14 Author Report Posted September 14 Is 2 in-a-row a streak? Lol. If they keep this up, they will possibly win the WS and all their games next year. AggiesAreWe 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Very nice pitched game by Hunter Brown. 6-2 win Rangers won earlier. so now Mariners need to lose. Getting interesting. Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Framber with another bad start. Went 4 innings plus 4 batters, 5 runs on 6 hits, 2 K's, 4 BB's. If Astros do not comeback in this game, Houston will be 1-8 in Framber's last 9 starts. In those 9 starts, 52 innings, 34 earned runs on 56 hits, 44 K's, 20 BB's. Framber will be 1-6 in those last 9 starts. Overall 12-10 after starting the season 11-4. Quote

rupert3 Posted September 15 Report Posted September 15 The only way that can happen is more consistant hitting. I beliieve hitting on our part can overcome our so so pitching. We'll see what we are actually made of at this point in the season starting tonight. Rumors of Paredes being back this week but where to put him. BTW Altuve day to day Quote

baddog Posted September 16 Author Report Posted September 16 You know, I understand wetting the field to keep the dust down, but the Astros play in mud, and a wet home plate just possibly took out Alvarez. rupert3 1 Quote
baddog Posted September 16 Author Report Posted September 16 Alvarez, scoring from 1st base, got the stop sign at 3rd but headed home. Instead of sliding, he scored standing up. When his left foot hit home plate, his foot slid across the plate into the dirt twisting his ankle. Haven’t heard an update. Quote
rupert3 Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 Good 6-3 win Okert wins Abreau very scary save. 1/2 back Hope Alvarez is ok Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 17 Report Posted September 17 Astros with a bullpen game win, 6-5. Houston remains 1/2 game back of Seattle, 1/2 game ahead of Boston, 3 ahead of Cleveland and 4 ahead of Texas. rupert3 1 Quote
