But let them lose 3-4 in a row and he will come out of the cracks like cockroaches. This was an impressive sweep of one of the hottest teams in baseball. Pitching was outstanding!! Pitching on both sides was great and our bullpen has done a big turn around and really done good. Phillies pitching was really good. Because of that we couldn't support our starters with runs. Keep it up. Mariners lose 10-1 playing Twins so we 6 1/2 up Quote

spidersal Posted Friday at 07:06 PM Report Posted Friday at 07:06 PM Yes AggiesAreWe , the Astros are playing very good right now and the relievers have done a nice job recently Hopefully they will keep it up. Still have a couple of players not hitting but finding a way to win yes you hear the good and bad from me I usually tell it like it is whether you like it or not Quote
rupert3 Posted yesterday at 02:47 AM Report Posted yesterday at 02:47 AM 7-4 win alway nice to beat Cubs. Tucker was 0-4 tonight. Good pitching by Walter. Ort still scares me. Touchy ending. 16 0ver 500 and 7 up for now. 31-13 at home. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted yesterday at 04:20 AM Report Posted yesterday at 04:20 AM Hader sets an Astro record with 22 consecutive saves to start the season. McCullers is coming off IR and will get start tomorrow. navydawg31 and rupert3 2 Quote

Should have pulled him after the back-to-back. navydawg31 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago LOL navydawg31 jinxed them. Just joking. McCullers might have been a good pitcher and nice guy before all his injuries, but not now. Might be better just paying him off and send him home. Depending on how much is left on his no cut contract. A wakeup game will always be part of a bump in the road, but that is baseball. It's early Quote

It's early Hey now I still have a good record there this year! 😂 but agreed about McCullers… I rather wait and see how responds after that poor outing. Cubs fans travel extremely well.. haven’t been to a Astros vs Cubs game since NL days so kind of forgot about it. Was shocked by it, after the back to back home run the icebox went from home stadium to visiting stadium quickly… Quote
baddog Posted 4 hours ago Author Report Posted 4 hours ago McCullers would have a 3-0 count and throw a slider for ball 4. That pissed me off. navydawg31 1 Quote

I thought there were more Braves fans than Astors. My work use to give us tickets, so there was no preference. I did get to see Maddux pitch…..phenomenal. Back to the Stros….what a difference a pitcher can make….😃 Quote
baddog Posted 52 minutes ago Author Report Posted 52 minutes ago What a great shutout!! Astros take the series from a great Chicago club. Quote
