Opposite of last night lose 3-0.  Not much to talk about except Gusto just didn't have it.  We left too many on base.

Wow win 8-2 after 3 plus hour rain delay.  Valdez another 11 K gem, Paredes 2 Dingers.

I stayed till the 8th and figured they had it. AAW was right about being in first. He said before all-star break. Lol

Astros pretty vague on pitcher’s returns. Need Javier, Garcia, Arrighetti, France…..I know Blanco is next year with Tommy John.

Statistically speaking, Houston is the best team and currently playing the best in the AL West.

Overcame a late night game and 3:30 am flight to win 2 games in one day.  Two different teams

Angels beat the Mariners. Astros now 2.5 games in 1st place.

Okert comes into the game with bases loaded and 1 out. He gets 2 Ks to end the threat and the inning. I call that major league pitching. Astros win 5-3 in 10. Brown with a ND.

Brown had a so so start. Had 5 BB and a hit batter in 5 1/3. Did have 9 k's but struggled with control today. Still only gave up one run. Had over 100 pitches in that 5 1/3. That's very un-Brown like.

Umpire had a crazy strike zone but for both teams.  So hunter had a so so game.  He pitched well enough to win but didn't.  Still nice win.

8 over 500 good enough for 4th in MLB I believe.

Sousa got screwed big time on what should have been a called 3rd strike to end the game. That slider clearly got inside the box. Oh well, already have the series, go for the sweep tomorrow.

I’ve never understood why a pitcher can’t throw to first base after fielding a ball. Did he throw a slider? Okert not so good today.

Astros kinda mailed this one in. Gave Altuve the day off, sat Rodgers and played Whitcomb at 2nd, used Pena as the DH and had Dubon at SS and played Melton in LF.

Houston was 1-8 with runners in scoring position (Dubon 0-2, Melton 0-3, Smith 1-3)

I thought Walter did a good job starting, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits thru 6 innings.

Yes and Dubon played 3 positions in 3 days.

Never thought I’d be saying this, but Myers is my favorite player right now, then Peña. Those two hustle every play and every hit. Mariners win so it’s back to 2.5 lead.
