Coldspring vs. Orangefield

Not going to say it's for the district championship because Coldspring still has to play East Chambers, Hardin and Anahuac but this is in a very important game for this district.  And right now by record these are the 2 top teams for now.  Thoughts or predictions?

I'll start it off... In my head 30-28 Coldspring but reality 34-20 Orangefield.  All depends if the Trojans remains in the Slot-T instead of the spread.  Both offenses can score a lot so I think it will be a defensive battle.

Should be a good one. If Orangefield plays the way they have the past two games I like their chances. The offense gets better every week but I’ve been more impressed with the defense. They only gave up 132 total yards to Anahuac who was averaging around 450 a game. The week before against Hardin only gave up 103 total yards.

If Orangefield pulls another game like Anahuac it will secure the confidence for the team. 
 

1 game may be luck, 2 games may be a lucky streak but 3 good game for a team & will start the wheels of confidence & that could lead to kids  believing in themselves.

I will take the Cats, 28-7.  Defense has been really stingy and the offense gets better weekly, as you would hope and expect with a new coach, new offense, and young QB.  All of the above appear to be getting not only better, but more confident each week.  

On a related note, over/under on the amount of times the opponent is called "Coldsprings" in F.L. McClain Stadium on Friday night?

Orangefield pretty impressive the last 2 weeks.  I think they win this one by at least 2 TD’s.

They should or more however if Coldspring gets back into the Slot-T and the defense play like they have the last 2 games it will be close.

@TrojanWarrior08  makes sure you try the Visitors concession. They have killer food. 
 

this should be a tailing game for how both teams finish out the season.

I think our kids have plenty experience playing that offense. They only dealt with a version on that for 14 long grueling seasons. Just put 9 in the box.

Unfortunately I don't get off in time enough to make it out there.  Does Orangefield streams games?

I know we use double wing but I've seen a few times that Coldspring use the slot.

Yes all Orangefield home games are streamed on NFHS

Knew this was gonna be a good game. We have got to stop the turnovers. And figure out something upfront on the defensive line to stop that run.
