I don’t think OF should ever try to hire another “football genius” as an AD again. Until they get an influx of better athletes this is what they will be. Most years a 5-5 team at best. Occasionally we will get a “phenomenal” group that wins a weak district and gets beat in the second round

I will give you credit for being sarcastic, and not making an incredibly dumb post.  They did just win the equivalent of the director’s cup for SETX last year (don’t know what they call if for HS but I’m sure someone does).  Of course, the credit for that goes in no small part to the great hires Smalley made across the board.

Agreed. For whatever reason the old guard wants to label us a “football school” when we have been remarkably mediocre for the entirety of our history at that sport

I am very excited that smalley is no longer in the district, but this is a bad take all the way around. They have been going deep in basketball & baseball for a while now.  LCM better be careful or they will get 20 popped too.... & yes I know we only played Liberty tonight.
