Lady Bears hitting the road with trip to Beaumont Kelly

Area volleyball teams are starting to get into the flow already and three of them will be in action tonight.

While Bridge City and Orangefield have the night off, Little Cypress-Mauriceville will travel to Beaumont Kelly.

LC-M’s Vicki Castino is stuck on 300 career wins with the Lady Bears after losing in three games to Crosby on Saturady at the Barbers Hill Tournament.

Christine Sicktich finished with 14 kills and four aces while Morgan Blohm added 12 kills and four blocks. Jordyn Davis added nine kills while Kristi Trahan had seven kills.

After Tuesday, the Lady Bears will participate in the Northwest Tournament in Dallas on Friday and Saturday.

Also on Tuesday the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs will travel to face the Beaumont Ozen Lady Panthers while Vidor will play host to Hamshire-Fannett.

On Thursday Bridge City returns to action with a trip to the LaPorte Tournament while both WO-S and Vidor will travel to the Hamshire-Fannett Tournament. The tournaments run through Saturday.

Orangefield will return to action Tuesday, Aug. 28 when they play host to the Deweyville Lady Pirates.
