  1. I like the old humble hughes. I can not stand the big ego he has inherited with his stardom. I don't particularly care for Serra either, but thought it was hiliarious when he beat hughes.
  2. good point, sir. i'd also like to say that people are missing the point of high school sports. the point is not to create athletes, but rather to create men. there are many talented football players who only play baseball because they've been pressured into that situation. high school shouldn't be about becoming a sports legend unless you're going to make that into a career. if you like the game, play it. you might have to play offensive line when you want to play tight end. maybe you dream of being a running back, but you're needed at linebacker. LCM kids can't handle that. they want to be the star, they want it to be easy and they want wins to come at will. IMO, if hooks was at LCM, he'd take the same crap. maybe not at first, because of his rep, but in a few seasons, people would be on here bashing dan hooks for screwing up the program at little cypress. he's a talented coach with unprecedented success at WOS, and i can see him being dragged under the waves of Little Cypress sports poltics. Finally someone who understands!!! The players and kids at LCM are raised for it to be all about them! their parents raise them to think that they are the big star and can do whatever they want. this is reflected on the playing field when nobody wants to play as a team. each kid out there wants to play their own game and make the big play instead of doing his own part. LCM has talent, but without cooperation and teamwork THAT MEANS NOTHING!
  3. OK. Several people have asked for them. Im curious to know some of them out there. Team averages? Individual? Include some really low embarrasing ones too. Gotta have something to laugh at.
  4. You missed an excellent game!!! It was good on both sides. After the first quarter and about half the second, both teams finally got past the jitters and stopped making so many mistakes.
  5. I had an awesome time last night at that game. It was a cood close clean ball game. Not meaning to get off on this, but I'm ashamed of my school after what happened last night, my fiance and I were parked in the middle of it. But other than that, the game should be game of the week or something! Both teams are strong and have the potential to go to the playoffs. Hawks could possible go back to the state playoffs.
  6. OK then, Kountze still wins Kountze 27 Hardin 24 thats more than 13. LOL. And im not from kountze, so don't take it out on them!!!
  7. WHOA!!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT? Or are you just some kid spitting out what he heard from someone else? Do some research before you speak.
  8. Now, I may get jumped this week, but Im an LCM fan and have never liked the bojo thing. We really need to come up with something new.
  9. Sorry, no word on Salt Dog, but the LCM defense with the exception of Viator, Seago, and a few others looked pathetic last night. That's not how we play.
  10. look at the player profiles. He's in there
  11. Hey, man that's cool. I was born exactly a year after him. OK enough randomness. Yeah, with the 6'5" frame, he has plenty of room to add weight
  12. I'll take HJ by a TD. They have some guys this year. Deshotel, Burrel, Monse, Thomas, Hanson.
  13. WOS always seems to have a backer that has that POP But for my (used-to-be-hometown) pick---any HJ player from the past few years will remember Brian Wallace, he had some snap to his hits. And Viator from LCM! Dude's got hits
  14. or if you remember coach hanson, everyone was buckethead! or patty cake, he had that high nasal yankee accent, so everything he said was hilarious
  15. Alright, all ya'll take it easy now. OK first order of business, from what I know of the players from the HJ team, if they have the drive and the coaches put a fire under them, i could see them at third or fourth in the district. I know it seems a long shot for some of ya'll. It's not just because I used to play there, but there is some real talent there this year. In the past, the players have relied on one or two key players to pull them through district play, but the team this year has a good spread of talent. If they mesh together and can play as a team, they could pull it out.
  16. Buy! Buy or sell, HJ football will go to the playoffs.
  17. Being a former player, not a good one, but I would really like to come out and see, but from Orange, its a good drive. Best of luck to all the three a teams. AND GO BEAT WOS. It would be hillarious
