I think the BH/PNG game will be for the district title. While Baytown Lee has won all three of their games by huge margins, I only have them 3rd due to their weak non-district schedule. Crosby and Ned battle for the final playoff spot.

Only locks I see are PNG & BH.  Last two playoff spots up for grabs.  Of course, I thot NS would beat Katy, and WOS would beat Newton, and Ned would beat Silsbee, so Santa Fe May win the District.  😂

PNG, BH

LEE, CROSBY, DAYTON, NED, VIDOR

SANTA FE

What If - Ned quits making mistakes - Crosby folds like they did last year - Vidor figures out how to play pass defense

The problem for Lee is gonna be anyone with a offense will run right through them. Offense is good but defense no so much. They gave up 35 to splendora and 27 to a horrible 1 dimensional offense from Galena Park.  I still think they sneak into the 4th spot though.

Lee vs BH will most likely be another high-scoring shootout.

Agreed! a lot could happen between now and then plus I want to see how lee does against someone. Crosby still has to gel with the new system, but if they can this year they will be in it.

Question I would ask here is, “Who has the best win, and who has the worst loss?”

Lee has looked good so far but Dayton beat Lee’s toughest opponent to date worse than they did. PNG best Silsbee in a good game, Newton destroyed them the next week. They beat Tomball by 3 tds but Tomball Memorial already beat them by 5 tds I’m the opener. BH lost by 4 scores to Magnolia who was beat 49-0 the vey next week by Shadow Creek, but they probably have the best win in the district against KP. KP has already lost to Angleton by 30+ though. Crosby could beat WOS by a couple tds Friday and probably be the favorite next week. There’s still a lot of fluidity.

Couple of predictions that I’ll make about Crosby; I expect them to have the best statistical defense in their 7 district games and I also expect them to rush for over 2,000 combined yards in those contest. Still need to figure something out in the passing game though.

Crosby has some unbelievable talent.  If Barbers Hill can make a couple defensive stops against up it could be a close game.  Thtere is a big gap between the top 5 teams and the bottom 3.  Wild Card is also Vidor they are a tough team to play no matter how good you are.

I think  the big question is can Lee play any consistent  defense?   I think that question will be answered as they enter the meat of the district...

Good observations. For both Crosby and Nederland, I think a lot of us will be surprised. We know Crosby can score against good teams. I think it is premature for people to write them off. I have them as on the playoff bubble as of today, but I will not at all be surprised if they prove us all wrong over the next few weeks. The only thing that makes them look weak (both Crosby and Nederland) is that they usually play better against the slate of competition they've faced in the preseason. But they definitely have the pieces to put together very good teams. Also, BH and Baytown Lee seem weak on defense. Add to this the fact that both Crosby and Nederland have had to play in grittier, uglier, more difficult games against more difficult competition (I don't know anything about Kingwood Park), and have, overall, faced more diversity. That makes you strong. Add that strength to the talent we know is on the field and we're looking at dangerous teams. I still think PNG is a playoff team, but any four out of Baytown Lee, BH, Crosby, Nederland, and PNG is a safe bet.

Well now the voice of reason. Never count out Nederland. I wouldn't count out Crosby. And PNG, wow, we have some serious work to do. I say this with all due respect... Then I will crawl back under my rock. I think our defense is better than our offense. Our line play is suspect, our QB needs some experience, I think he is a good athlete, but needs some reps to get better. We are a playoff lock IMO, but don't count out those teams with a Pedigree..... This thing is wide open. And I cant imagine anyone getting out of round 2... PNG,,,, Defense,,, SMH!!!!!

    • Exactly Lum. Right is still right regardless which way the wind blows.
    • High Point walks it off.  Vandy Whistler headed home!
    • Tomball takes wild 2nd game 8-6. Both teams had 3 E's. Tomball gave up a late lead but first game pitching star Sampson nailed a 3 run homer to push Tomball to victory.
    • My understanding is that the falsification of records was the crime that he was convicted of… but for it to have been a felony act, it had to have occurred in the furtherance of another criminal act. The prosecution had to first prove that the criminal act of falsifying documents had occurred. IF the jury believed that records were falsified, they were given three possible criminal acts… any one of the three would allow a felony conviction. The instructions stated that for any of the 34 charges, all twelve of the jurors had to agree that records were falsified, but they also had to believe that the records were falsified in the furtherance of at least one other, different crime. Six jurors could believe that Trump was falsifying records to avoid paying taxes… the other six could believe that it was skirt around election laws. The jurors didn’t have to agree on which of the three alleged criminal acts Trump was trying to further by falsifying records, just so long as they agreed that a) the falsification occurred and that it b) occurred to help him cover up another crime (for which he wasn’t charged and never proven to have committed or to have even occurred, for that matter).     Complete pile of crap as a prosecution, in my opinion.     But, we shouldn’t cry if our nominee is the kind of man who bangs porn stars while his wife is at home with the kid, then tries to buy her silence, then breaks the law in regards to falsifying documents to hide the evidence of the coverup.    If you’re wondering why falsifying those records might be illegal, it’s this. Money paid to your attorney for services performed can be deducted from one’s taxes as a legal expense. If the money is paid to a person to settle a personal claim, then the amount would be taxable-the falsification would have been done to avoid taxation. On the other hand, if campaign funds were spent to pay hush money and the records were falsified to hide the violation of campaign laws, then the felony occurred.    The bottom line is this…. They didn’t have enough evidence to indict trump on any of those three things that allegedly happened… but they DID have evidence that the financial records were falsified, so they point at these other acts which can’t be proven to bump the charges on falsification to a felony.    And the reason Trump didn’t take the stand is that he can’t go on the record about whether or not he had sex with Daniels… I’m certain that they can prove it and hang him up on perjury too.    The most delicious irony is this… Trump gave his supporters too much credit for their integrity. He thought they’d turn on him if they found out what he’d done, when in reality they wouldn’t have given a care… Trump’s whole falsifying records and quest for secrecy wasn’t even needed… his followers don’t have moral objections to his sinful acts.
