with the invest 95L forming and the uncertainty of the storms path, is anyone hearing anything?? just was told by my job to bring extra clothes and food to work for three days on Friday...this is protocol for Galveston EMS, but just curious if anyone knows anything on the forecast and games.

I think our jv games have been cancelled, not sure about varsity yet... be careful out there on the island!!

Canceling games for right now I think would be a little premature. This disturbance looks to go more towards Corpus than SETX. With that said, we've obviously seen a good amount of rain lately, and those grass fields will take quite a beating......

did u really look at the storm?? it doesn't matter where in texas it hits, we all get the dirty side. this system is very broad and like you said with grounds already super soaked, then u already know what happens. I'm not even talking about football fields. if it floods again, people have to think about families and property first..ijs.  L-train already stated he believes the JV games are cancelled for Lumberton possibly. I think pulling the trigger tomorrow on JV might be wise and late Wednesday night or first thing Thursday morning for varsity. I PRAY THIS STORM GOES WAY FURTHUR SOUTH LIKE MEXICO!!!

I think that Eric Brill, meterologist at KBMT, has taken a number of looks at the storm several times a day.

Concerning the potential storm, what does the Euro model predict?  Hope it's not another potential Harvey......

No we is out the clear this week so there will not be any cancellations this week now next week it's a different story yet again a major hurricane might hit anyway between Houston back to the Louisiana border

Good thing for turf.  Subvarsity and varsity will still be played as of now for PA Memorial and Beaumont United.

Man, after all the nonsense that went on this offseason while trying to get this game scheduled, I truly hope it doesn't get cancelled.

    • No chance in hell that this pos is found guilty.
    • After his silly conviction, President Trump has raised over 200 Million dollars!  The people are seeing through it!  Excellent!
    • Let’s see if joe biden’s words about no one is above the law, made after the rigged trial of President Trump, rings true with his po💩son.  Hopefully, but I’m not going to hold my breath, they put the sorry sob in prison.
    • I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73
    • Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class. We invite you to follow our boys as they go to state.  We welcome the greater SETX communities as honorary Yellowjackets.  Tune in, watch live or come to Round Rock personally and join us in supporting the Chester Yellowjackets.  Go ‘Jackets!!! ⚾️💜💛⚾️🟣🟡⚾️💜💛⚾️
