I bet virtually all of us are thrilled, and I hate to throw a pile of poop on our celebration cake, but I'm not convinced the hogs will voluntarily leave the trough. Ā I'd guess, that percentage wise, Congress has made more millionaires than any private business. Ā In an ideal democracy, with an informed, caringĀ electorate who would voteĀ the Nay voters out - NP.

It won't happen...but it would be great for the country.

Cruz is a good TOOL. Ā Plain and simple. Ā I wouldn't buy a used car from him let alone policy. Ā And watch your neck around him ...he wants to suck your blood.

Do you have any examples of some objectionable policies put forth be Cruz?

He's a Tea Party tool. Ā I firmly believe he's more interested in personal gain than serving the people. Ā He has loads of the slick lawyer talk to boot.

With that said I don't disagree with everything he's pushing for ...but really question if they come from his honest belief or were fed to him.

I like;

  • Do not tax access to the Internet, BUT DON'T Ā block ā€œnet neutrality.ā€
  • Donā€™t send U.S. ground troops. Ā Use overpowering force, including ā€œcarpet-bombing.ā€
  • I sorta agree on his stance on gay marriage. Ā My view is don't call it marriage (a Biblical term) but call it a civil union.
  • Ā Mandate a balanced budget, but lets no do it entirely on the backs of the poor and our most vulnerable. Ā Lets repeal some unwarranted tax cuts for the ultra wealthy.

I guess to a "Centrist" the TEA Party is like the cross to Dracula?!

So you don't like his demeanor. The lastĀ President electedĀ based on personality ended up being the worst President in American history.

What is a Tea Party tool? If you are a Conservative, and the Tea Party represents Conservative ideology, does that garner you the label "Tea Party tool"? Does he perform some duty or espouse some position for the Tea Party that he is actually against?

The worst in American history ...really? Worse than Andrew Johnson, Andrew Jackson, George Bush, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon,Ā Gerald Ford. Ā Gimme a break. Ā Righty's that say he's the worst hate the President more because he's uncomfortable to look at than anything he's done. You can count up his sins n we have plenty moreĀ that were far worse.Ā

They're also overly consumed with erasing his legacy.

Here's a good spot for this question, which has been asked by several on hereĀ but never answered, even from people who claimed Obama as "The Best" president. WhatĀ has made Obama such a great president?

So throwing the race card is your attempt at trying to justify Obama's legacy. He is the worst president ever, andĀ a different thread on this forum outlines just a few examples of that analysis. But hey, blame it on his looks. We already know you wouldn't vote for Cruz because of his looks. I guess to justify your predisposition you have to projectĀ those same faults onto others to rationalize your realities.

There it is again...won't be long.

You've been waiting on that day since I first came to the forum. Ā "He thinks we're all racists." Ā I don't. Ā Racism is an overly used word in our society that only accurately describesĀ ppl on the fringes (both sides). Ā Being prejudice or biased is more of the problem. Ā

The guilty verdict issued hours ago against former President Donald Trump is a clear abuse of our justice system. This politically motivated and stacked trial is what we have come to expect in communist China or North Koreaā€”not in the United States of America. Ā  The totalitarian impulse of the neo-Marxist Left is to suppress and silence political opposition using any means necessary.Ā  Ā  But hereā€™s what we must understand: What just happened is not only about Donald Trump, and it will not stop with him. Ā  The Left is not only waging legal warfare against Donald Trump. They are attempting to prevent half the country from having any say in the governance of our nation, and they have weaponized the legal system to ensure their success at any cost.Ā  Ā  They are already using our legal system to go after pro-life activists and patriotic Christians who defend religious liberty. The Deep State is spying on conservative parents and churches, treating them like enemies of the state. They have even gone so far as to compare caring parents to terrorists.Ā  Ā  The Left has repeatedly contested that conservatives are a threat to our democracy. Yet, they are the ones who are aggressively attacking our Constitutional Republic with blatant disregard for our fundamental rights. We cannot remain silent against such explicit tyranny. Ā  Today's verdict is a clarion call for every God-fearing, America-loving Christian and our fellow citizens who believe in faith, family, and freedom to run, walk, or crawl, if necessary, to the polls this November. Gary Bauer, Senior Vice President of Public PolicyĀ  James Dobson Family Institute
