when will netherly and Williams be expected to be back playing?

Could be 14 days from now when we play KP, could be a month from now after KP and Caney Creek when we play Dayton. If the game was perceived to mean more all the starters might have played or at least gave it a shot last night. As long as we respect them I think we can beat KP and Caney Creek as we were constructed last night and focus on being our healthiest starting with Dayton.

I am a big believer in catapult games. In 1999 we lost to WOS the only loss the whole season all the way until the SC game. This may well be what Crosby needed to renew its focus and knock off the boredom.Best of luck.

I think it will cause the players as well as some in the community to prioritize. Other than the Dayton game and the Summer Creek/CE King games, boredom is exactly the way I would describe the regular season the last four years. Now there can be a focus on improving rather than starting out gangbusters like the last few years and trying to maintain that high level of play throughout the season. Good luck to you guys too.

Porter's going to surprise a bunch of people if they continue to think that.

Cougar 14.2, in your opinion, which one of these do you feel like was the bigger upset?

Porter over Crosby or

Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson

I watched the Tyson fight with some friends and remember the feeling like it was yesterday.  I'm sure you felt the same gut-punch last night.

Wait, was this the same Porter that Lumberton played in Week 1?  Before our game, I recall you saying something to the effect of, and I'll paraphrase: If Lumberton beats Porter you will have beat probably the worst team in 21-5A.  Is that pretty close to what you said?  I'm getting old and can't quite remember.

Still suffering with reading comprehension  problems, sweetie.

Go Dayton JV!

Hold on champ my son plays on the JV leave those kids out of it.  They are a good group of kids.  Who would start on Varsity at other schools.  If you don't believe me I will be happy to post the text messages on here from your hometown

When we lost to WOS our kids were the same way that season. We had high hopes having one of the best QB's in Texas that season. After that game it sent our team on a winnig streak. I believe it will for Crosby as wel. Its sucks loosing but it was done woth key players out. Great game to learn from better to be vulnerable now than after week 10.

I never comment on the kids.   Period.   I consider every kid on every team a good kid until they prove otherwise.  Don't get my comment twisted into something it isn't.  Champ.

You are a piece of work.  Note to the rest of the posters...biaplayer called porter a cellar dweller not crosby.   I had my helping of crow last night.   Not doing this all over again because you are late to get with the program

I think you should rest them against Dayton and concentrate on the post season ! ( just looking out for Crosby's best interest) -

Again, I don't think it's the same Porter team.  The Porter team Lumberton played had trouble moving the ball on our defense.  In fact, at the end of 1 quarter of play, Porter may have had negative yards on offense.  Score was 0-0 and game was called. Couldn't be the same team Crosby just lost to.  Couldn't be.

I'm surprised we didn't see Trey carry the ball last night.

Trey is also nursing an injury, that is why he didn't get much playing time.

I watched the game online....if he was the wide receiver who scored a few times that boy can fly

No, that kid is # 6, he was referring to #19.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
