BISD scared to play at PN-G?

Recommended Posts

This is absolutely the craziest things I have read on this site. Although I do understand Mr. Frossards concerns, I am totally against any team having to give up their home field advantage. In my opinion PNG is one of the most noticed high school programs with a very strong history and heritage. to other schools it is quite intimidating some times to play at the reservation but hell that the fun in the game.  Try to send those dancing Indians home crying.  Just really don't see how a neutral site would settle any disturbances. to me it would actually make things worse. If this happens fans coaches and players  will arrive at the games with a chip on their shoulder.

So do that means we can move the MCM game, because I know the Indians don't like Dogs. I am so scared for my life and my family to go there. Kmsl right now

I be afraid too, especially when I sit on their side and they start doing that chop thingy, disrespectful. :)

This has nothing to do with specific BISD coaches having the inability to hold their composure on the sideline, resulting in them besmirching BISD's sterling reputation.

It's funny.  The article also states that athletes and coaches being treated fairly is a concern as well, which could be what sparked these incidents... Why isn't this being questioned?  I'm willing to bet that the Central coaches would tell you....

Didn't WB have a problem with PAM? Did they play at a neutral site after that?

This is stupid and blown up.

I agree completely...

That's just part of life. We always know that when we travel to the 409 we will not get any calls. Just something you deal with.

As for coaches. You report them to the school, the district, and the UIL. Let the chips fall. The best thing to do is to win between the white lines.

THIS!

I disagree with our board president's idea to move games to a neutral site.  Teams including bisd and PN-G teams live for home field advantage.  As one person previously stated, it's a great thing just to think... you beat them at the Reservation, you get to see them all disappointed and sad.  Also, both of these stadiums are tops in SETX.  Having to change local venues for something like this makes no sense.  Imo, Soccer isn't really that big at Central, so the circumstances of a scuffle at a soccer match shouldn't cause a trickle down effect for football games in Friday night.  The games between Central/PN-G has been very competitive, no matter what stadium it's played in.  Please, Frossard (sp)/Caveness, meet a mutual agreement and keep it the same and keep these classical games at The Rez or Da Butch....

You're really trying to make me go there...  I've already had to get in fool's tails in the past over bringing up that ridiculous notion of 'atmosphere' ...

Atmosphere got your ISD looking for neutral sites, I think they're scared of Png.

I've seen Central lay whoopins on PNG at the reservation

A certain soccer coach at Central, formerly of Ozen, doesn't know how to handle himself or his players.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
