First, your offense needs to score. This can take place in several ways: running for touchdowns (6 points), passing for touchdowns (6 points), and kicking field goals (3 points) and points after touchdowns ( kicking 1 point or running/passing 2 points).

Second, your defense needs to stop the opposing teams from scoring (see how offense scores point above): Tackling runners and/or receivers (someone who catches a thrown football). As a bonus, the defense can cause the other team to drop the ball (fumble) or steal it in the air (interception). If you intercept and run the opposite way of the offense, you can score 6 points on defense.

At the end of the game, the team with the most scores wins.
