That was Central's chance. King was ripe for the picking but as has been the case so many times lately in these games, 21-5A just makes one or two more plays. I don't think coaching was an issue at all.

no participation ribbon expected... But I wouldn't be throwing out the "who's your daddy line" after barely squeaking out with a win... A loss is a loss, but they can't act like they won that game because they were the better team

Congrats King. I didn't want to bet against ya but I honestly thought Central would win. King hasn't looked that great lately but they proved me wrong. Central tough loss but sounds like the kids played hard.

You know, I just realized this year's matchups created the perfect bracket. It's #1 against #4 and #2 against #3 in all four games. Central played tough, but I'm with Bronco Pride in the sense that I wouldn't have been surprised to see Central beat King with a hurt Williams and the way they finished. 

To be totally candid though, King is probably 14-21 points better with a healthy Wiliams.
