PAMFAM10 Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 Memorial biggest problem is the community refuse to accept that Lincoln tj and sfa is no more. Memorial high school is what we have. And after all the years many still won't accept the fact. All the talent you'll ever need but lacks true leadership and support. My whole family attend Lincoln all still bumblebees till the end. But have to beg them to come to a PAM game SMH. Mr. Buddy Garrity, ThaGhost, thetragichippy and 2 others 5 Quote

outanup Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 Maybe.......And I say again Maybe, things are changing in PAISD. With Boutte leaving the path is cleared for a HC/AD who can jumpstart the program. Nothing against Boutte or Harrison but whats happening now isnt working........ Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

But have to beg them to come to a PAM game SMH. Thanks for saying that. To be honest TJ and Lincoln and SFA were all very prideful programs. They each had their own special era and time as winning programs. They also turned out some of the best football players in the world for awhile as well. I went to a memorial game a few years ago and saw a guy wearing a Lincoln shirt andd one wearing a Tj shirt. I was thinking that the pride never dies.... I cannot blame them each one of those schools had a lot to be proud of and we have not even began to discuss basketball!!! thetragichippy and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

The Goat Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 I'm a graduate of SFA but prefer MHS. MHS has been an upgrade as far as I'm concerned. My son is a 17 y/o senior this year and PAM is all he and my 3 girls know. The tradition and pride is coming along. Everyone in 21-5a get a taste and feel next season. Some of your best years are High School memories....and for some people, High School will be the best thing they will ever have......When you take the school away, it takes a piece of you. I have rode my Son past TJ and said, that is where my High School USED to be. See that big parking lot (seemed bigger when I was 17), that is where I used to do donuts in my 65 stang......See Twin City Hwy, That is where the Cavalcade parade used to be after we stopped doing it on Gulfway Drive..... I support Port Arthur and Memorial, but I honestly don't have the passion I would if it would still be TJ. Quote

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 What would tj.be in 2015 3a IMO tj would be 4a d1, lhs 3a d1 and sfa 2a d2. Quote
PAMFAM10 Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 IMO tj would be 4a d1, lhs 3a d1 and sfa 2a d2. if all that fits under 2100 I agree. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 if all that fits under 2100 I agree.from the number I got if you divide it by 3 it comes out to 689, I know for SFA we wouldnt come near 1/3 of that, and you know how bleak the westside is so lhs would be low, tj would have the most students, way more area.
