Makes total sense to me.  As a fan, or parent, you want to be able to ID who's doing what.

no, just the blind folk. I actually like the uniforms and can see the numbers if need be.

I don't know if anything was as bad as Ozen's old road uniform with white jerseys and yellow numbers.

As a guy who sometimes announces football and baseball games, I applaud the ruling.  Parents sometimes wonder why Junior's name/number didn't get called out.  Sometimes the numbers are too small (mostly Jr. High games).  Sometimes no contrast (orange numbers on a white jersey or columbia blue on white as well as other combinations).  I love the overall look of the "camo" baseball jerseys but the numbers disappear! It can be a nightmare!  I guess camo really does work!!

You bet it does. I was wearing one hunting one day and the deer spotted me and ran off but he never knew what number I was.
