Stattrax Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) Well here are my thoughts so far, feel free to add your opinions. The loss of Rembert will hurt, but I think we have a few kids that can step up and help lead the defense. We will need to cut down on turnovers and penalties in order to beat the better teams in district. On the offensive side, the passing game is getting better, we will need to cut down on the dropped passes. On the defensive side, so far we have played better than what we did last year, if we can be opportunistic and keep creating turnovers we will give ourselves a chance to win.The kicking game is much improved over last year.Coaching has been good, I think the staff will need to make on the fly adjustments during district in order to pull out some important wins. In the nutshell, at this point in the season, I think we are improving with alot of upside. If we can get some momentum going, I still think we can compete for the DC. With the Improvement of Ozen and GCM and VIdor, I think it will be interesting week by week. You have to always look at Central as a contender because of the talent level.. And of course Nederland will always be the road you have to travel in order to win it.. Food for thought:: Be ready for Neauman to throw a curveball in MCM. IMO he will utilize Krautz during that game with the hopes of beating us with him alone.. He will either gimmick up his defense, possibly run a 50, or some type of change we have not seen. I would expect to see Krautz run out of the wildcat as well. All of these things should be out on the table in preparation so we do not look like a deer caught in headlights if it happens. I would think that he will look at the WOS game and utilize some of the same things. Including taking Giblin out of the game. These are just a few things that could possibly happen.. Areas of improvement:Line Play on both sides.Running game.Slot reciever play.Coaching Adjustments. Grades after 3 games:Offense: B+Defense: B+Special Teams: ACoaching: BFan Support: AUniforms: B- Players to Keep your eye on: Morse, Giblin, Hauk, Girourd, Lejune, Morris, Anniboli Edited September 20, 2015 by Stattrax Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 I cant believe the uniforms got a B-. The gray pants gets them a D, would've been F if it wasn't for the win on Friday. Lol tvc184 1 Quote
NDNation Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 I think the real key is coaching adjustments. Chapel Hill scoring on their first drive was a little scary. Adjustments were made and defense hit the field and buckled down. Rembrandt is a huge loss, like Hughes was last season. Is he out for the season? Quote

I am sure we will know for sure this week, but the diagnosis does not look good. NDNation 1 Quote

tvc184 Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) I think it was entirely too much thought process and typing to simply say, "I am a big PNG fan so much that even though we have some areas to improve, I think we might still win district" .... because "I am a big PNG fan". Good representation by SETXsports staff for sure...What you call negative feedback a CNN poll found that 98.4% of people realize is merely a joke..... and a pretty good one. In fact nothing negative was said. As for as being a staff member, that comes from being in my 10th year on the forum, having almost 20,000 posts, not using profanity and being seen by admin as fairly level headed. Note that I am "again" using a smiley (^^^^^) to denote a light heated post In case it escapes you yet another time. Quote

MAYFIELD Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Why he only broke down what he think Nederland game plan is. And I must say if you haven't watched Nederland offense this year, you better go get tape. We might be missing Sage, but this offense got more weapons than just Krautz. So if your game plan is to just stop Krautz, then Indians you already lost. Quote

I think it shows where their head is as far as worrying about a team your not playing for a month. Quote

Then Ozen everybody needs to be watching. To be honest this District can be any teams right now, Hell Lumberton is undefeated. Quote
