Lightning/Eagle
Lufkin Hudson is coming to New Caney. Suppose to play 4 or 5 innings then do some situation type work. I'm kind of interested in this one. Hudson always has a quality program and I heard they have a good young pitcher.

crush16
Its going to be a long season in Bear country. Even though there are a number of seniors its going to be a rebuilding year.
badndn
The Woodlands 5 PNG 0 in a 7 inning game. Dey fast! Long trip for a Tuesday night scrimmage, but worth it.
3n2
For most teams only a few innings are with #1's. Don't put much stock in early scores unless it's all on starters. Scrimmages don't go on record. It's practice folks!
7mary3
I agree, scrimmages are basically an evaluation period on some of the younger players to fill some gaps on Varsity & to try & put the best product on the field come District play. Also lets the starters knock some of the dust off from the off season. Lots of lineups change drastically before the real season starts. Ready for basketball to be over geeeeeez..... 3Falcons
Tons of things still to get ironed out no question about it but after a long off season, even scrimmage info needs to be heard. Still there are a few fun moments in these batting everyone and moving and looking where you get a good matchup at the plate or a sweet play out in the field and the stands stop eating popcorn and gossiping about who will end up where and watch some good softball and that's pretty fun and I imagine people would want to talk about that and this is kind of a board for talking about that kind of stuff

Scrimmages don't go on record. It's practice folks! Woodlands threw the Langkamp sisters alternating innings. Lefty/Righty the whole 7. Emily got an extra inning. And they played Most starters for 5-6 innings and batted 9. PNG batted lineup. The speed of the game from the Woodlands is the big takeaway for PNG. Made a few mistakes that can be chalked up to them Highlanders pushing the defensive pace with their aggressive base running and team speed. Lot of slappers.
