DeuceSixSuited Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Should be better next year Should be much better next year. Have some kids coming up from JV that are very athletic and some 8th graders coming up that are very talented Quote
bulldog16 Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Just a question....Why isn't Kountze better on defense? Is it the scheme, mental toughness or are they just not good on that side of the ball? It's the same kids on the defensive side, however you can't rely on 1 or 2 to make a play on defense like they do on offense. It just seems to me that with the type of athletes they have, they should be better on that side of the ball. Quote

Kountze turned the ball over 2 or three times inside the 20 in the first half. Quote
Guest ECBucFan Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Hmmm.... No so impressed with Teague after all. Apparently their defense is not that overwhelming for a #1 team, giving up 42. Basing this on just one playoff game though. We'll see as things progress. . Quote

texas13 Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Why did the Teague coaches run the score up like that?they didnt run the score up smart alak Bighornet 1 Quote

Capone Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Wouldn't really say they ran it up. Kountze could have kept it closer in my opinion. Just don't think we had the right game plan and didn't make the necessary adjustments needed Quote

GeauxMe Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Playoff experience is everything. I think we getting a new staff to help Joub next year. I'm excited. More coaches the better Quote
texas13 Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 I just never understood why we never brought pressure. We just kinda sat back on defense all year and let teams ram it down our throats Quote
jwbassman Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 I just never understood why we never brought pressure. We just kinda sat back on defense all year and let teams ram it down our throats I agree, with a QB that good you can't sit back and let him pick you apart. You've got to try and get to him, knock him down, disrupt his timing, something......... Quote
Capone Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 And you can't cover #1 with a linebacker most of the night.lol Lots of things I didn't understand deputy. I will say this, I don't think the other 3 from our district have any problems tonight Quote

Bighornet Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 they didnt run the score up smart alakCalm down tiger. Us Hornet fans have nothing better to do. Stop being so sensitive. Quote
Mr.Green Jeans Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 Great Season Lions! The seniors will be missed but the returning players for next year need to start preparing now. Goals need to be set now for the coaching staff and kids to win a district championship instead of just making the playoffs. Quote
BunaBoy84 Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 The fact that Teague is talking crap on dist. 12 because they beat kountze like this blows my mind. They act like they did something nobody else has. Quote
Capone Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 And I don't think Grayland played a full quarter at qb. He played wr mostly and if he could of gotten the ball more it would of been a lot closer. But I will say this, Teagues qb is the real deal and so was #1. Put someone on #1 that can cover him, like Kountze didn't, and put some pressure on the qb and they can be beat. Quote
