Guest Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 This game is going better than expected. Heard the Shelbyville RB is out. Quote
corrigancamden09 Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 I called this one earlier this week! Quote
Guest Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 21-20 Shelbyville with the win. SA had a chance. Burrell being out helped. Not bad. Quote
tigerheart Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Burrell played. SA scored with 18 seconds left but didn't get the 2 pt conversion, Jmike made a heck of a play to keep a busted play alive and got the ball in the air and WR had his hands on it but couldn't bring it in. SA was literally 1 play away from a district championship and now needs help to get in. Quote

Crawford Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Congrats Dragons, it sounds like it was a barn burner. Hate to see SA to be sitting at the house come playoff time with all that talent. Maybe the Bearcats can do y'all a favor and beat the Rams Quote

pinelandflash Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 They always play Joaquin hard, and with the 28 points they scored on WS....I think they beat Joaquin! Beckville may be on their backup QB next week. Didn't see him out there in the 4th. Maybe that was because WS was leading by 22, I don't know. But when they passed tonight it was to #s 4 and 82(Western and Tundro, I think). Have two good RB's but their defense is susceptible to the big play. Should be interesting. Now, how about that District Championship game goin down in Pineland next Friday!!!!! (Sorry Wolfie had to do it....) hope y'all get in next week..... Quote
Crawford Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Is that what it comes down to as far as who wins district, whether who wins the Shelbyville/ West Sabine game? Quote
BOBCAT PRIDE Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Hard fought game by SA Good Luck to you guys Quote
Guest Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Wolverine, My sources tell me that Burrell was injured early. Did Burrell play the entire game? If so, the accomplishment of keeping it close would be much more significant. Losing your best player in the 1st qtr is difficult to overcome in 2A especially when the entire offense is built around the player. Is this incorrect information? Quote

Burrell played majority of the game. He wasnt 100% but he played. Scored go ahead td on 4th and goal. SA played without Jenkins on offense majority of night. Looked like he banged his shoulder up pretty good. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 I am going to be amazed if SA misses the playoffs but it sure looks like it will happen. Quote
tigerheart Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 I am going to be amazed if SA misses the playoffs but it sure looks like it will happen. We knew district 10 would be crazy. SA was 1 play away last night from being the district champion. Now need help to get in, and would be the 2nd place team if that does happen. Quote
prepballfan Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Great game I really enjoyed the We Will Win atmosphere Quote

Guest Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 If Jenkins was out and Burrell was not 100% that would make it about even. Quote
tigerheart Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Who is number 32? Burrell for Shelbyville Jenkins for SA Quote
Crawford Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Burrell had a hairline fracture near or at his ankle. And it didn't happen during any game. He apparently got hurt at home on Tuesday or just before. I won't get into any details what had happen. I'll just say he wasn't fighting incase anyone is thinking that. Quote
