Brubaker Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Not sure what everyone else's kicker can do, but Nederland's has a leg to maybe get it down to the 10 or so, a reasonable 20 yard return puts it at the 30 as it is with the risk of a larger return. Most of the pooch kicks I've seen are fair caught around the 30 - 35 so it's a pick your poison for Nederland. Not sure about PNG's kickers leg, but it didn't appear to be too much different to where he could get it in the endzone. Just my two cents. Coaches do these things for a reason and it's not to prevent their teams from winning, Faircloth and Neumann seem to have their heads screwed on fairly well when it comes to coaching strategy. outanup and PNG Proud 2 Quote
biaplayer Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 I haven't seen our kicker get it into the endzone not one time. Cant say that he can't reach it, maybe I don't know, but I hste the pooch kick. Field position down deep is a lot better thsn giving them the ball at the 30 or 40 yardline.I say kick it deep and make a tackle. Quote
Brubaker Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Seems kind of contradictory, can't not one time reach the endzone, but want to kick it deep? outanup 1 Quote
NDNation Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 We had East last year, awesome kicker. Quote
Bigdog Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 NDN, I can't stand the pooch. I haven't seen many returns for a TD in our District anyway. Kick it to the end zone & cover your lanes. Give good teams a short field, you're gonna pay. I guarantee the playoff opponent will appreciate it. Ozen will definitely take it. Will help us with our field position issues. Thanks I agree. It sure didn't help us against Central and I questioned it during the game. Now the onside kicks are a different matter. Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Nederland pooched every kick against PNG Quote
TradinUp BH Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Could be a trap game for PNG. Quote
prepballfan Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I talked with some players they are extremely focused and not taking Ozen lightly as they should not!!! johnnyarm and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote
19Bulldog99 Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Turnovers! If Ozen has 2 or less turnovers this will turn into a shootout. Quote
409Fan Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 This game is quite interesting. I'm going with an upset folks........by saying the game will be closer than you think. A 28-42 PNG win is quite tempting to take but I'm not calling this one a breeze for the Indians Quote
hypewos Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Ozen have recently made some interesting changes on the offensive side of the ball that I saw against us that I think can hurt PN-G. Will they do this vs PN-G? I don't know. But defensively, I dont think Ozen can match up with PN-G. Ozen - 28 PN-G - 42 Quote
75ndndb Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 PNG will be ready to take the frustration of last weeks loss out on Ozen. PNG 38 Ozen 20. Quote
hypewos Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Central and ozen has too much talent not 2 be 1&2 not taking nothing from the other schools in that district but ozen needs 2 step it up specialy in that area of coaching Quote

badndn Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Or maybe alot of folks just confuse Athletic Ability with Football Talent as a whole. Bigdog 1 Quote

Talent is there, unfortunately most don't understand that Talent alone doesn't WIN. I'll take hard work & dedication over a Talented kid any day of the week. BINGO. Thats what makes a great Football Player and there are way more Athletes out there that will never get it then there are Football Players that do get it. Quote

biaplayer Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 To answer you kicking it around the 10 I would consider deep for our kicker vs the 35 or 40 yard line. Is that easy enough for you to understand??? Quote
Stattrax Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Kick it like your mad at it !!!!! Quote
