mytwocents-28 Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Homecoming!!!!! Who yall got?? Quote
fox Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 after watching vidor play last week this one is a coin flip. depends if vidor can put 4 quarters together or not. GCM has a history of turnovers. depending on which way they bounce could be the difference. should be a good game robanadana 1 Quote
Humblepower Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 About a even match. Some sites have GCM ranked slightly better than Vidor, so going with GCM. GCM 21 VIDOR 14 Quote
Knoddy1 Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Got to go wih Vidor on this one..homecoming has to be worth at least a touchdown I would think...I'll say Vidor 35 GCM 24. Quote
mytwocents-28 Posted October 14, 2014 Author Report Posted October 14, 2014 This will definitely be a higher scoring game than that. I'm seeing both teams reaching 40's with the one with the ball last winning. Quote
Bigcam2903 Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Good hard fought game last Sat Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 This will definitely be a higher scoring game than that. I'm seeing both teams reaching 40's with the one with the ball last winning. not with two teams that turnover the ball. Quote
robanadana Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Fox nailed it. We're young and we make mistakes. If the Pirate homecoming crowd can get behind this team and they put together four quarters, I give us the edge. I keep saying the talent is there...they just have to learn to win. Quote
mtpadgett14 Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 I honestly think GCM runs away with this one. Seeing how much trouble Vidor had against Lee, and GCM just beat up on Lee. Vidor looks like it's young just from the press box. They looked almost like a JV team. I didn't see anyone that could catch and tackle Duke, Choudhry, or Adams on an every down basis on the Vidor defense. Quote
outanup Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 2 weeks ago I would have picked Vidor...... I think GCMs run game is too much for Vidor. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

The only thing that doesn't match up is points on the board. We allowed 186 yards to lee, gcm allowed 166. We had compiled 348 yards against lee, gcm got 355. The only way it's not even is on the scoreboard and that is because Vidor left atleast 2 td's on the field due to penalties. But go ahead. Use that game to think you've got an upper hand on Vidor. texas13 Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Gcm will score, but can Vidor score a few more on HC Quote
QueenPirate Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 It's our homecoming and of course we do it big!! My Pirates by 3 and of course, it will come down the last 2 mins of play I am sure with us all on our feet in panic mode! lol Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Tidbit for Vidor: I highly suggest you DO NOT kick it to #7. Alpha Wolf 1 Quote

Knoddy1 Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Sure you guys beat up on Lee, but so has almost everyone else (not a good measuring stick)Vidor is young, they start 11 sophmores on offense.(they could be hard to stop in the next couple of years. JollyRoger81 1 Quote

mytwocents-28 Posted October 15, 2014 Author Report Posted October 15, 2014 factoring in all the turnovers GCM has lost they can still put points on the board. What about all the turnovers Vidor has lost?? 1 pic in ozen, 1 pic 3 fumbles in lee, 1 pic 2 fumbles at ned, 2 pics 1 fumble at channelview, 3 fumbles at jasper. That's averaging 2.8 turnovers a game! Quote

That normally how most games are predicted. They look at what the teams did against same opponents. For those that went to the GCM vs Lee game I think you can agree with me. That game should have been 35-0 after the 1st quarter. Duke threw a pick in the endzone and they also had another turnover in the redzone. If they score on those 2 possessions its 35-0 end of 1st. Now if Vidor can capitalize on some of GCM dumb turnovers it will be close. If they do not GCM runs away with it. Just my look at it. Mr. Buddy Garrity and N8_44 2 Quote
