Michele Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Okay Bulldog fans I know the Dayton game did not go as we hoped it would. What are your thoughts on what needs to be done to get this team back on track and how you think it will make a difference in our game Friday against Clear Lake. Quote
Indianforever Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Boy this is a tough one to call....clear lake is big but if you shut their running game down you should be fine Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Getting back on track should be as simple as not having 20 penalties for 180 yards CThoops and Baller 93 2 Quote
Michele Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Posted September 6, 2014 I couldn't agree more about all the penalties NDOMAKONG 1 Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Playoff football will mean that many penalties for the entire district season Michele 1 Quote
Indianforever Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 When was the last time Nederland started district 0-3....not saying it will happen but it is possible Quote
Michele Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Posted September 6, 2014 indianforever...your right....it will be a big challenge for our D because we simply do not have the size and speed that we have had in the past. We will need to bring a mistake free game Friday to have a chance! Quote
Michele Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Posted September 6, 2014 We started 0-3 in pre-district about 5 years or so ago I think Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 If you go uptempo you should win. Ball control is what CL wants you to do. Quote
NDNation Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 They had trouble with our passing game. Seay could have a big night. Quote
Brubaker Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Paper said Neumann has never started 0-2 much less 0-3. Quote
Michele Posted September 8, 2014 Author Report Posted September 8, 2014 Well I can say this....I believe in our coaching staff and boys and the problems from Friday will be addressed and corrected. I think our Bulldogs will have a better game against Clear Lake Friday. 1motime 1 Quote
liltex Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Pulling for Ned,they don't quit coming at you.I saw improvement w/young secondary from Liv scrimmage.Get that run game going will be key to open up the pass.Me,I'd now & then switch Seay to slot to get him in space=beat the space Clear Lake team jake94 1 Quote
prepballfan Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Nederland will win Friday night. if they can pass the ball. CL has a mean linebacking core but not very good against the pass. Focus on stopping the running game the passing game is lacking. Ill pick Nederland this week. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
MAYFIELD Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Playing with the thought of team, realizing your actions can cost your team more. Penalties and tackling has to be addressed. Seay back to wr and give Tavian a chance a qb. JMO not starting anything and sure up right side of D line. Quote
prepballfan Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Mayfield I really believe that Nederland lost tons of talent to graduation. That being said you will probably get the best team you have on the field due to the fact that your coach is Neuman. I think Nederland can win this week. As I said above stop their running attack and you can win. They are solid defensivly in the middle of the field so passing is a good way to beat them. Quote
biaplayer Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Nederland will be allright, clear Lake is a one dimensional cupcake. They just run the ball, they have no passing whatsoever, might throw the ball a few times all night. If Sage can air it out, should come away with the win. Quote
bh89-2 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Clear Lake is, has been, always will be horrible. Even Nederland can beat Clear Lake. Now, if you don't, best go find a place to hide for a day or two. You'll have Indian feathers and tom-toms surrounding you on here. mighymouse490 and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote
mighymouse490 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 nederland should win. lake is a cupcake team, as i stated prior to pn-g playing them. creek and springs are the better clear lake teams. Quote
Michele Posted September 8, 2014 Author Report Posted September 8, 2014 Do you think they are really considering moving Sage back to WR and Safety and giving our back up a shot at the QB spot? Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Do you think they are really considering moving Sage back to WR and Safety and giving our back up a shot at the QB spot? they need to be considering it IMO bigned85 1 Quote
johnnyarm Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 i like the Jones kid myself. He has always been calm in the pocket and has a good arm. Plus he will give you another yr after this season. IMO Sage will hurt other teams more being a WR/DB. I think this game will be a battle. But like others have said, that O line has got to protect whoever is at QB. That Fox kid is the real deal. Quote
Bigdog Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Do you think they are really considering moving Sage back to WR and Safety and giving our back up a shot at the QB spot? If they are going to do it, this would be the game to do so. Get the kinks out before district starts. Quote
MAYFIELD Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 The new transfer should be given a shot as well as Jones. That kid is a true qb and I think he has the offense down now Quote
outanup Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 The new transfer should be given a shot as well as Jones. That kid is a true qb and I think he has the offense down now we have a transfer? Quote
