Why does every 21-3A thread turn into a Silsbee/HJ pissing match? This crap is getting old. If you boys want to argue about Silsbee/HJ, then start a separate thread and please reserve the 21-3A threads for 21-3A talk.

Look bedelmon I did say y'all would not beat was or silsbee. Maybe I should have clarified myself. Y'all will not beat them this year. New coach means a first year of learning new things. I NEVER said y'all could not compete. Nor did I say y'all would just lay down and get accept the loss. What I did say is you shouldn't come out and call out the two most powerful football teams in our district. Yes I can say that due to their record says they are. I also feel due to their record and play in the past they are allowed to come on and flex there muscle a bit. They are allowed to brag a bit. But for you to come on here and just say that y'all will beat them because y'all got a new coach is just asking for whatever you get. That's why iI said if your gonna be dumb you gotta be tuff. Y'all have a safe and injury free season.

HF has a big kid that plays QB. Has anyone seen improvements in his game. If develops his arm, he can be very solid. Also, I think OF could give a few teams a scare this year. That darn option is hard to stop at times. They scared the crap out of Silsbee a few years ago.

I think they are a lock for third, if they play like they should.. Silsbee and WOS can't overlook them either, solid everywhere

I think after they lay it on Vidor Friday people are gonna put them on the radar

Silsbee
Orangefield
West Orange
Bridge City
Buna
Hardin Jefferson
Hamshire Fannett

I'm an Orangefield fan so I'm kinda going out on a limb here, but I think they have a legitimate chance

Must have just reached in a hat and pulled these names out to get an order like that. Wow???

I really don't know much about the bottom 3 honestly, with Hunter out I believe BC is in a hole, however they always seen to find a way to compete and I'm positive this year should be no different
The top 3 I believe could go either way, with WOS and Silsbee likely rounding out the top spots, but as an OF fan I like to believe otherwise!

I've gotta say that in the scrimmages from what I hear silsbee has been the least impressive team, out of the usual playoff teams! Buna seemed to play better against newton than silsbee did. I know it's just scrimmages but maybe the silsbee fans shouldn't crown them district champs yet! They do have to come to Dan hooks stadium this year😜!!! And once coach t says who the starting qb is and the starting rb James plays rb all game, our offense is gonna put up tons of points! And the defense well is still the chain gang! Man I'm glad football is back lol

P.S. maybe silsbee should play some schools at least the same size as them!

    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!

    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
