-
(laughs again) It's cool man. All that talk just comes down to the season. Then when you notice how bad that team that was getting bragged on is doing, you get to laugh at the person who bragged about them . But like you're saying. Honesty is always good 8)
-
Man, I'm for real. I wish some of these posters stop being homers and talk some sense. I can tell you what Central can do. I can also tell you what Central can't do, and be honest about it. Geeeeesh! :-\

Predictions on who will win shetland tournament in orange
td replied to pirate87's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I would also like to congratulate Vidor. They are one of the best base running teams I've seen in Shetland. The tournament in Dallas (Irving) is a blast. If you haven't made reservations you better start now. Any team that thinks they have a shot at going better make reservations. They're easy to cancel. Now what I really want from Orange, Vidor, TC and Port Arthur is to talk to the PONY directors. Everyone of them, every time you see them. We want our Regional back next year. We deserve it. We work hard for it and if we go to Conroe and kick those Houston teams in the mouth and advance to Irving then so be it. I would think that PONY wants the best teams there. Let's not let Houston have their way just because they are bigger. Let the best teams advance. The Regional is only a 6 team tournament. If PONY has to then make it a 7 team tournament. Again great job to the Vidor boys and the Vidor coaches and fans, You too are a class act and I for one as a parent appreciate the applause you gave our boys. Losing is hard on all of us. I think the kids get over it before the adults do. Play hard and have fun. td -
Lets just do what happened last year. Let everyone talk the stuff about HJ in basketball and prove to them how good we are again. Just gives the players more to put on their shoulders and prove the crowd eh. This is only for 3A district as well. Memorial and Ozen has nothing to do in what I just said.

Totally agree with you on that one. Coach T is going to keep us grounded, but confident. Talk is extremely cheap...if you can't prove it on the field...well, you know!!! ;D
-
i agree with you cword! the kelly tennis team is nothing but a bunch of overrated, trash talkin kids. they always talk too much crap, & besides, if they were SOOOO GOOOD, they would have beaten the warren boys every time they played them. thats why i say that word & carnley are way better than them, hands down. & yeah, their coach is a joke!!!! ;D

Sorry, not bashing Groves LL. If I had a son that was young enough I would let him play Groves LL now over Pony any day. I like Pony rules better for the younger kids 5-8, but at the Little League lvl 9-12 when they can make the major team that would be great having the chance to advance to a tourney where your son could be on National tv. Groves is really too small for two leagues and hurts the lvl of play as you have good kids playing in both leagues where if they combined think of the talented teams that Groves would have. I was also stating that reading these forums and others and hearing people talk around Groves, I get the feeling that the team this year thinks they are twice as good as the team from last year.

Now, I do think some of you guys are being a little tough on Tony and the Elite Tennis Academy kids. Tony is a good coach whether you guys like him or not. He coached easily the best male player from this area in the last 15 years. (Danos). And if you look up all the champ and super kids from the area, more of them are coached by Tony than any other area coach. Elite has the only consistent group with that level of players in the area. All of those kids are working hard, they just talk a little too much trash. Hey TBS, I'm bringing some of my Houston kids down next week ( mostly ZAT kids) and I was going to bring them to Brentwood for some matches one afternoon. I'll bring Scott, and you guys can play him. If you guys all beat him, I'll even help you talk trash about him. Good luck this weekend. -

I hate to take up for Scott, because I don't think he is all that good. ( my standards are pretty high though ) But, Scott has never lost a singles match to you, Bug, or Clement. He destroyed Clement the last time they played. He has only played you once, (freshmen year?) and he beat you. He has never played a real match against Bug, but he beat him in one of those grand prix things a year and a half ago. I've seen all 4 of you guys play quite a bit, and there really isn't much difference between any of you. Until you actually beat someone, you shouldn't talk. -
Just tell the men to keep working hard over the summer. Heck it's been what forty years? Got a couple of Lion fans here so not like the kids are here jacking their jaws. We will see what happens and hopefully they get off to a good start and come district maybe something happens. Your right easy to talk about it but if you have no hope what up?

Next Years Tennis Predictions
sportsfan07 replied to BABOLAT2's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Keep the dreams to a minimum. I am a fan of trash talk, but not when it is bad trash talk. So all you ETA kids playing 5 hours a day, why couldn't you beat him this year. Or any of the other big guys in the tourneys? -
why do you feel other teams are any better! Yea they know what it taste like to be in the playoffs and to win games but i cant remeber when Kountze has one four games. coming from 0 to 4 changed our mindset threw that year, we want the playoffs really bad and we are going to get them. Im no i sure am talking allot of smack but i wouldnt talk it if i knew we couldnt back it up. Next year will be the year we break the 40 yr playoff droubt for Kountze.

alright seriously... this kelly bashing is pissing me off... first of all you have no room to talk.. kelly no doubt has the best all around team... silsbee has one player.. westbrook has one... warren just has one... cathedral has one now... nederland has one now... hj is without anyone... im just talking about boys tennis right now... kelly has three players and a deep team doing well in all the b and c tournaments. kelly had two strong doubles team in the a draw and a strong singles player in the a draw... although he lost to the best. including sagar and matthew he still beat everyone else he played... he never played minick so i can't make that comparison... and not all kelly people are snobs or genious'. dont judge someone on the text of this website...
