Position by position I'm not sure that the Beaumont schools match up very well with the teams in their district. North Shore lines up defensive backfield D1 straight across (in general). Usually with one or two D1 lineman a major college defensive end and a superstar linebacker. It's just Satan's District, all it is.

All this Trump v. DeSantis talk is juicy, but under the hood, there's a far more pressing issue: Democrats fortified their COVID mass mail-in-voting apparatus. It's a vote-harvesting juggernaut that will continue to produce competitive results no matter the GOP nominee.
I will not pretend to understand how all this works, but can't the GOP use the same mail-in-voting apparatus? What do those numbers look like?

If you were to combine you would have many more athletes leave the district for the surrounding schools. Around half of those currently participating would not be on the team and inevitably some of those that stayed would eventually leave because it is easier to make the team elsewhere.

Was it a benching or a safety issue?

Did WB take Jenkins out of the game?

A lot of kids from Beaumont go to school in Vidor. Most of my sons school friends lived in Beaumont when he went to school
Off hand, would you remember if any of them played sports?

Silsbee, Vidor and WoS do not charge for open enrollment. LCM is 1500 i believe.
Oh wow, so all you have to do is be able to get there?

Open enrollment back in the 2000s is a big reason for West Brook's surge in football. I was zoned to Central because I grew up and lived in the north end but open enrollment made transferring to Brook easy.
A lot of star WB guys back in the 2000s would have been at Ozen and Central if zoned schools were mandatory at the time.
Truth. But I was referring to open enrollment in surrounding districts. For 1K you can go to HJ, HF, EC and maybe a few others. Now I don't think you can play varsity your 1st year but the next year I believe you can.

The dedicated middle school deal is a good idea. But with some of those schools going Charter it muddies the waters a little bit. If they don't want to attend they can go elsewhere which may or may not put them into the zone for the other school then come 9th grade I have no idea what happens.

Open enrollment in surrounding districts is hurting Beaumont football. I would be curious to know how many kids from Beaumont are playing at surrounding schools. If it is even 30 that is a big number to take from WB and United.

But I still repeat, the west end folks aren’t sending their kids across town to ozen, and where do you place the high school that doesn’t have half the district traveling all the way across town to go to school?
The West End folks don't send their kids to BISD schools anyway.
-
What if they were to add a school? They could all be 4A or 5A. Then they could stay local, and stop having to go to Houston for everything. Might even save some money on travel.
-
What would that schools academic rating be?
-
Can they combine those schools and have a school that big that is that under performing academically?
-
If all 3 schools existed and they evened out attendance they could all have been 4/5A and been very competitive. 6A is just ridiculous.

It is interesting that we here in Southeast Texas are not reflective of the General electorate or the majority of the country. I wonder if they are having these same conversations everywhere.

What does a miscarriage, D/C and abortion have to do with each other?
Unless you’re suggesting that it mother be charged with murder because she had a miscarriage, it is a moot point.
When the mother has a miscarriage, the baby is deceased. The medical follow up is not an abortion or the taking of a live human baby.
Thanks for the clear up. There is a lot of information floating around. Thanks
-
Actual question. What if the mother has a miscarriage? What is the rule on having a D&C? Are they still allowed? Thanks for the help.

There are no consequences. They get sent to the office and back in class 20 minutes later.....rinse repeat.

If only we had Little Dribblers in Beaumont.
