Had Boise State had Barbay as Head Coach, they would've been better!! ;)

Its no secret that Barbay and Gibson have never seen eye to eye. Gibson wants total control and wants the people under him to be submissive. There will be a mass exodus on the boys side.

You have to know how to utilize the talent you have. Barbay knows how to do this. I've seen him beat other teams that had more talent. Coldspring will never be the same without him and good luck hiring even an average coach much less a halfway decent coach.

I predict a shocking coaching change coming out of District 8 4AAAA. Stay tuned!!

Liberty will not return to the "glory days" unless the people in Liberty's school district put in a new school board and will promote a good AD/Head Coach and keep him.  Lets say for instance, Barbey from Coldspring. Just imagine.

There are definitely some attitude problems on the girls side of athletics in Coldspring, but that is not a new thing. It has been there for years. I don't see coach leaving this year just because his daughter will be a senior, and he probably won't want to move her to a new school or leave her behind and move on. However, he never really wanted to be the softball coach. He was perfectly happy being the trainer and kind of got stuck with the softball team when there was no one else. I know it was tough on him to be put in this situation, but I do know he isn't blaming the girls. There were a lot of parents involved in planning this disaster of a trip, and it should never have happened, much less been during the playoffs.

The Coach did resign and now is the Head Coach at Shepherd. Go figure!!

The Coach has had enough and he will probably resign. The fault doesn't lie with the coaches it lies

with the parents. Same with the volleyball, heard that the new coach has already taken another job at Sperger ISD. The attitude from the parents there really stinks. Not all of them but just enough to ruin it for the decent folks.

If Coldspring stays healthy they will be unbeatable in district. Tarkington vs Liberty is a toss up but I think the Horns will take the Hornets.

Barbay will not only take another district title but will go deep into the playoffs again. LaMarque comes to Coldspring this year. Last year CS beat them in their house. This up coming season should be interesting.
