A guy posting on a local message board calls a D1 coach who has won several NFL conference championships a bad coach, I don't care who you are now that's funny. ;D By the way most High School and College coaches I have talked to believes Sherman will turn A&M around. I think I will agree with them. 8)

Bear Bryant sent a coach to scout High School players, the coach asked Bryant what kind of players should I look for. Bryant said you know the kid where one player knocks one player down and he gets up and the next play he gets knocked down again and he gets up again, then it happens again and he gets up.The coach stops Bryant and says I get it you want a kid that keeps getting up and fighting no matter how many times he gets knocked down, then Bryant said no bring me the guy who keeps knocking him down!! 8)

BMTSOULJA, It rains lot in orange county that time of year!!!! 8) Oh and slow down. LCM can only do so much to slow your players down and the Orange police can only do so much to slow you down, so help us out OK. ;D

Speed is great if it is on a real football player, I've seen alot of fast guys who couldn't play a lick. I played with a SWC high hurdle champion who couldn't catch a cold and was timid going across the middle,he was the fastest guy on the team. If guys are willing to work, be coached ,and learn how to play the game then I would hope all of them are burners, but if not they are just track stars.

Mental toughness!! Wos, Southlake Carroll, Celina, Katy all of these schools have different types of kids, run different schemes, some have size, some have speed,some don't have much of either, but everyone of those teams have kids who are mentally tough. Kids who will work, are coachable, I quess the best way to say it is kids who believe in the program and are willing to pay the price. A kid can have all the attributes in the world, if he is not mentally tough,he can't play for these guys.

Reed is a big athletic kid!!! Another great kid from a great family. The sky is the limit for him. Hayden works hard,and has all the character traits you wish for in a young man.

Georgia State head coach Bill Curry was at one time head coach at the University of Alabama.

At WOS they don't know how to spell lose. Oh boy I have some great one liners for that one !!! But that would get me in alot of trouble!! ;D

If I was WOS and lost to Gilmer last year I would pray I got another shot at them and not hope they go D1. If you are going to win it all,leave no doubt!! That's one game I would love to see.

Only the second school to acheive this, both schools ( LSU and A&M) were coached by Pat Henry!!! If UT had just won these two National Championships this post would be ten pages long by now. ;D

MFFL. Chavis didn't decline under Sherman. A new coach came in and played the guys he recruited it happens all the time. Fran hurt Chavis by moving him to 3 different positions,and he just never got settled in.

Even though Tech is still in Texas it is a long way from home. It would be the same as going to a school like Clemson, Florida or Georgia as far as travel for their family.

I sure would hate to lose Coach Bolton !!

Texas A&M is building a great track program with Coach Henry, it wouldn't surprise me to see both young men get an offer to play football and run track. But I believe Haynes will go to OU. Both men and women's teams from A&M are ranked #1 in the nation going into this weeks NCAA championship meet.

Baddog, We all listen and watch sporting events with our hearts and eyes. Sometimes the umps and announcers calls always seem to us to be over the top for the other team. But I don't want to listen to a game where a homer announcer doesn't tell what is really going on, if a player makes a great play I want to know about it, it is good broadcasting. Setxsports, thanks for providing me with a chance to listen to the games, I am not from Ned. or Brenham, and I appreciate it.

Babndn, Our new staff is more experienced in teaching all phases of the passing game including protection.There are also several young receivers with good skills besides Armstrong, and a couple of QB's with Hunter G being one who can get the ball to them. Last year they were a running team trying to throw every now and then, this year there will be different blocking schemes and lots of reps in practice to help the OL out. It will take some time but I believe LCM will be a good throwing team.

Armstrong is truly gifted, smart, hard worker, unselfish, and just a great young man. I was blessed to coach Preston and alot more just like him, I am very proud of all of ya''ll !!!

Hey Gabe, maybe Vince Young could I think he might be looking for a job soon. 8) I can see his playbook now, 100 pages of look for the first receiver then run, if that doesn't work then ask to be traded.

I agree with bullet and ruckdad, if UK used it as a guideline to stop Billy G from doing outside business deals then they viewed it as a contract. I believe it will will be settled out of court with Billy G getting paid at least a nice part of the money.
