Didn't Nederland do something similar with the AD position in the 1980's with Lloyd Wasserman and Ben Hurt?

Even Larry Neumann applied for jobs outside of Nederland. I bet nobody would have said at the time Nederland ISD shouldn't renew this guy.

Curious how Central fans feel about this. He didn't win a single playoff game at Central. Not going to be an easy job at Shoemaker only one playoff win in their school's history.

No agenda for the Feb. 20th board meeting has been posted yet, that being said I highly doubt a hire will be made at this meeting.

AD only has happened a few times this year but on the 4a level at Pleasanton and Sanger. Can't recall a situation where a basketball coach was the AD granted this is all speculation on our part and Nederland could simply hire a head football coach/athletic director

Reagan I actually know many Nederland football fans who just don't like the guy and don't think he's right for the job there's nothing wrong with not liking someone's coaching style. What about that is home cooking?

I think it's a personal dislike for him and many see him as Derouen 2.0 but he has been a coach at Nederland for 20 years you can't say he isn't qualified

This is correct both games were at Sam Houston State West Orange-Stark was at 1pm Nederland played at 7pm

I doubt he was forced out can you imagine that back in 1992 people actually protested Bobby August leaving it would be alot worse if people thought Larry Neumann was forced out. On another note the AD for Kelly was trainer at Nederland before he was at Kelly.

I disagree with the idea if they don't find a way to give it to him then the new superintendent is an idiot. Lets wait and see who applies first before calling the superintendent an idiot there maybe another candidate more qualified than Barrow is.
