  1. Might see Newton vs Canadian again for state
  2. I don't think anyone needs to they have alot of talent on that team this year
  3. Saw this report on Newton vs. Kirbyville. Gonna go out on a limb and say Newton will be the best team in the area this year other than WO-S. In the scrimmage the Eagles scored 5 times through the air and twice on the ground while also causing multiple turnovers on defense. The teams then played a quarter of game situation where Newton had two pick sixes and wound up scoring 30 to Kirbyville's 0.
  4. Well its a benefit to the football team...hate to break it to you but those baseball parents are also football parents at Nederland
  5. He's not on this list but PJ Locke from Central was really good despite being injured almost his entire high school career
  6. I think the key to this season is keeping the RB Ned healthy. Id also like to see improvement at the WR position cause it was awful last year
  7. I think our defensive staff has been the problem the last 2 years and nothing has changed except the personnel is a year more experienced...slight improvement but nothing to write home about...as bad as the district is i see no issue with Nederland making the playoffs
  8. I think cutting out spring training with as many kids out for baseball as we have had did them favors too

  12. Prayers to the family of Mr Mota he was very much a legend at LC-M like Dudley Metreyeon and Pete Delahoussaye were at Nederland. The softball field at LC-M is named after him.
  13. Sadly im familiar this situation because I worked with his father at the plant for years and he was a good man god rest his soul. As far as the coach goes it was Facebook that did him in he had allegations of various kinds at LC-M Nederland Orangefield and Memorial. The young lady then sued Orangefield and Memorial but it was dismissed

  21. Bryson Kennedy, the highly touted 2029 quarterback from Little Rock, Arkansas who transferred to Duncanville this past semester, was ruled ineligible for the season Tuesday, according to a now-deleted social media post from his father.“I know everyone was looking forward to Bryson being the starting QB for Duncanville, but it won’t happen due to Bryson being ineligible,” Kennedy’s father, Anthony, said in a Facebook post that also appeared to share an email informing him of the decision. Duncanville ISD has not responded to a request for comment. The ruling appears to stem from a podcast appearance Bryson made in February. In his post, Anthony also shared a clip of the podcast, in which his son said “I feel like the opportunity was better for me as a player,” after being asked why he came to Duncanville. Bryson Kennedy was the starting quarterback for Little Rock Central as a freshman in 2025 and already boasts offers from power programs such as Arkansas, Auburn and Missouri. He was expected to compete for the starting job this fall at Duncanville. “I spent over $15,000 moving to Duncanville out of my own pocket; no one paid us, so we returned to our home school, Little Rock Central,” his father’s Facebook post read. Bryson’s X account also no longer lists Duncanville in his profile
