EC got beat in the playoffs BUT at least they got to go to the dance. Sans last year, that's a heck of a lot more than Puna can claim.

I like Hargraves and wish him the best BUT I question the judgement of any coach that tries to coach at the same High School from which they graduated especially in a tight knit community like Winnie. There's a lot of truth in the old adage "You can never return home"

Who cares what SE Texas thinks? Sportswriters, over-the-hill dads and various other jock sniffers will have no say in who wins the district championship. The championship will be decided by the players and coaches on the field. For the record, EC will retain it's district crown.

I don't have a problem with it. As a previous poster stated, school is a business. For any business to be successful, revenue must exceed expenditures. Schools are no different. To increase revenue, you can either increase taxes or levy charges to the customer, in this case is the athletes that benefit from the athletic program. Pay to play.

Your time would be better spent worrying about Hardin. EC will do just fine without TT.

The perception of an EC - Hardin rivalry is one sided. EC views the Hornets as a nuisance little brother rather than a rival. Hardin craves the recognition the Bucs have earned over the years.

Me thinks Bushpilot suffers from bad case of little man syndrome. ;D I will concede this to the 2007 Hornets, it took 4 quarters for EC to hang half a hundred instead of just 2 quarters. Course, the Bucs did pull several starters in the second half of last years game. ;D

The Bucs might only win 5 but you can bet your sweet lil' arse, Hardin will be one of those showing up in the "L" column.

If that were a requirement, East Chambers wouldn't have enough candidates eligible to run for school board!

I think Kountze will be a bigger test than Anahuac or Hardin. EC is losing some good kids due to graduation but they have all but 2 starters returning on their O-line and their backfield will be in decent shape with Raymond & Carrington. Defensively there are a lot of ??????. Gone are Thomas,Trammell, White, McDonald & DeVillier and those guys will be hard to replace.

Visitors stands are being torn down. Be sure to bring a lawn chair this fall. Are you serious Lol! ;D I think the plan is to increase seating capacity on the visitors side. EC should have a pretty good set up when everything is finished this fall. I do wish we could move one of the light standards in front of the visitors stands so we could be like our pals in Buna! ;) ;D

Or going to the county library to use the computer to post things on here. BTW you guys have about twenty minutes before they close so take your best shots before it gets to late and they run you out. ROFL I didn't realize Hardin was so cosmopolitan. BTW my outhouse is a two holer. ;D
