  1. It's pretty common for athletes to graduate from HS in December and attend college in the spring semester. It gives them a leg up on their fellow recruits by participating in spring football drills.
  2. Mike Stoops got himself one heck of a good player! Sure wish he would have committed to a Big XII school so we could watch him play. Good luck Tramain!
  3. It's not too hard to understand. All District selections are made by Coaches. Men who are professionals at evaluating a player's performance. AP Sportswriter All State selections are made by a bunch of English major jock wannabees. Get the picture now?
  4. Sure are a lot of kids from the Panhandle & Tyler areas listed. Appears that Jon Mark Beilue & Lance Lahnert from the Amarillo Daily News did a pretty good job of promoting their local kids.
  5. I think EC will be in pretty good shape with several returning starters including: Dontae Raymond - RB & DE Daniel Renner - OG Tanner Mazzola - OG Arick Hartman - OT Anthony Ortiz - DB Other returning players that saw a lot of action include: Jared Rabalos - LB Wacey Weiss - LB Jacoby Carrington - RB & DB Trey Lambert - QB Coach Valastro loses a lot of good kids to graduation but his cupboard aint completely bare.

  7. ??? Why are you talking about roundball in a football forum?
  8. Any idea when the lists for AA - AAAAA will be released?
  9. Marsh & Nolan will be hard to replace.
  10. EC had 2 players make the team. Tramain Thomas was Defensive MVP and Paul Trammell was 1st Team LB on the Beaumont Enterprise Super Gold Team. Tramain Thomas was selected MVP for the PA News Team. Congrats to both young men! [Hidden Content]
  11. Which players will be returning for Kountze?
  12. Congrats to all! From East Chambers - Vance McDonald 2nd Team Carlos Trevino Hon. Mention Scott Penny Hon. Mention
  13. I think ** means the player was a unanimous selection.
  14. Bobby Knight with a gun in his hand doesn't scare me one bit. Bobby Knight with a chair in his hand scares me sh*tless!
  15. Sounds like the Waco team made their own luck.
  16. Doesn't Hardin lose Nolan & Marsh this year?
  17. Sounds like a gamer. Too bad they don't award an Iron Man Trophy to recognize a guy that plays despite being hurt.
  18. EC is losing some very talented and dedicated Srs. but I think they'll be in better shape than some realize. Most of the O-Line will be back (Trevino & Trammell are gone) and Raymond and Carrington will carry the load running the ball. Lambert got a lot of quality reps. at QB as Tramaines back-up. Defensively, EC has to replace LB's Trammell, White, DeVillier & Barrow and Penny, Vigers & McDonald from the D-Line. We're losing some good kids but I think there's some good players that will step up and fill their shoes.
  19. Congrats Newton on a great season. Looks like ya'll played Tatum a tough game.
  20. Preparation H Shortage in Newton County Newton Eagles get reamed by Tatum
  21. Mack Brown and his staff do a poor job of developing talent ie: Chris Simms. Texas may put some beef on him but talent wise, he's as good as he's gonna get. He should have picked another school.
