Been by there about six times this week. I will really be suprised if the press box is up and running. Wonder if the scoreboard and clock will work all year this time around????? Oh well as long as the EAGLES are winning no one will care. I hope!!!!!! ;D

I know most of the BH Board personally and can assure you that they are not scared----they may see some things differently than you do but they will get to the upgrades in due time as they see it. Yea, I do too. Your right we see things differently and they won the elections so i guess i am in the minority. Guess I just hate losing to Huffman and now Hardin. It has to be worth looking into. Hopefully one day I will be in the majority.

Which Liberty are they talking about here? It's sure not the panthers. Our visitor side(and it is crappy) holds more than War Torn Stadium or what ever they call it does on both sides. BH really does need to step up and update the stadium, scoreboard and add a concession stand. I'm pretty sure all that will happen before turf even though studies posted here show that it is a cost savings. The motivation should be getting beat by Huffman in anything because that just doesn’t happen very often. Trust me nobody that wants one will not get an education because of it. Just got some scared board members, but they keep getting reelected so it is what it is. ;D

:-\ Good Players but BH played football before 98. Some of your recievers caught like 2 balls for thev season and wear scared to death to get hit. You really need to get with some one who knows the history of Bh before you post any kind of list like this one.

BH146 has done a Great Job with his site and his pics. The site will be missed alot but I think we all understand why it is time. He wants to go fishing.

Way to far out for the Broncos to focus on. Besides IF the Cougs could make it that far they don't want the Broncos again.

Good luck Panthers from the West side of Chambers county. Hope you have better Luck with those Cats than we did. Win or lose you Guys have alot to be proud of. You came a long way through a ton of adverse conditions. GOOD LUCK!!!

DAYTON

Barbers Hill has had fits from now 2-A K-Ville. They broke our hearts 2 years running. The last time in the last seconds of the game at Conroe.

I think Coach Price has done a good job with the players in the past and got BH back in the play-offs for the most part. I don't have a problem with telling the coaches good job or nice game. The Coach praise and worship folks are the one who get on my nerves not the Coaches. (except for a couple who think they deserve it) We have had some talent pass through in for the last 8 years and have seen some good times. Going to the play-offs is a lot more fun than staying home and only one team wins state in each division each year. I think the coaching staff got a lot of credit for those good years when most of it was raw talent. Now they have to take the good with the bad and what could very well be an 2-7 season with little or no talent. (at least for football) Remember BHFAN the 99 team at least had 2 running backs to keep it interesting. As far as the Clowns who wanted to give the AD job to a girls basketball coach with somewhat of a tainted past WELL.........they all got re-elected. Just an opinion.

Once again I'll be pulling for the EAGLES. We saw some good defense at times last Friday and we saw some really bad defense for the EAGLES as well. That Soph. running back ate the Hill alive. I guess the inconsistency most be because we are so young. Lot's of one arm tackling. I'm still picking the Hill. BH 28 NF 21 GO EAGLES GO EAGLES GO EAGLES.

I'm thinking BHFAN called this one. BH 28 Crosby 21. They may play it just like GCM and let them run all over the field but stop them from scoring. Bend but don't break. Our QB should be able to pick the Crosby D apart if he is on. If not then all the Dayton fans are right.

Anyway, Great job EAGLES. I think everyone knows you were putting it on a lesser team and I think everyone knows how tough Dayton is. Since this thread is about your victory just let me say we were proud of you not only for the victory but for the class act that was on display against a very undisciplined bunch. I was proud of the maturity that you did show every time they threw a punch or hit dirty after every one was on the ground and the play was over. They only got you out of your game one time that I saw which cost us a TD but it is a learning process. I really expected more from them and there sidelines but was highly disappointed in their direction. We're PROUD of you guys and what ever happens with the rest of the season or against Dayton will be. Just wanted to say you guys and your coaching staff are a true class act.

If the same BH shows up Thursday that was at Eagle Stadium last Friday then we should see the same results. I hope the guys don't get confused with the size of the stadium and the stands this week. The field is the same size as theirs. Good Luck EAGLES. Stomp The PATS!!!!

I'm pulling for THE HILL but I remember that desperation field goal last year that broke our hearts. So far BH has not shown the ability to put up any points so I'm hoping BH 14 King 13. ;D

The game was scheduled because of the problem with Smiley and Forest Brook. Our schedule was set and then they combined Smiley and Forest Brook to make North Forest, that left us a game short. Price called many teams, but it was so late in the year everyone had their schedule set. Longview had something happen to their schedule as well, and couldn't find another team. Longview called BH and Price committed to play. Believe me, Longview was not his first choice. I admire him for stepping up and accepting the challenge. You are so right thought Smiley and Forest Brook stuck it to everyone. Now they are a 5A playing in a 4A district for at least two years. Maybe we could merge with Dayton. Just kidding, I don't think that would work out for either side. ;D It's funny how two 4a schools can merge and end up with a 4a school...is that even mathematically possible? I'm with ya, but pray for the bus to break down or something besides a hurricane. That affects more than the football game Ain't jumping off no band wagon here but this was the best thing that could happen. Now they can get healed up before district. Very seldom will I stop cheerleading and have even been known to tell a motovational lie from time to time but this was a time to consider the facts. Not taking nothing from PNG or Lumberton and they handled us well but niether a close to Longview in talent and what they have now. It's cool to hold your head high but after a 73-0 score it could be tough. This ain't any given Sunday.

I Love Barbers Hill football. I live for the 10 or 11 or 12 weeks the guys play football. Because I like the kids in this program I am going to pray for a Hurricane so the game will be canceled. Not trying to hurt any feelings but we are not ready. You have to play the best to get better but this team is not at that point. :-\

:-\ It is kind of fun to see the Raiders talking about the same things we have been talking about on The Hill since 1999. I really liked the part at the begining of the game when the announcer told the fans to keep your children with you and that they were here to watch a football game. I hope we can get a copy of that for our home games. Keep cheering BH EAGLE MOM. The boys are going to need support this year even more so than in the past. I guess we have alot more in common with lumberton than we thought we did.

Hang in there BHFAN. It's all good They WON, We LOST, It STINKS. At least we finally got to watch some High School football. No doubt we had more fans at this one and they will next year at there house. They had more points and it is what it is. They also had nicer band uniforms. Are ours still on lay-a-way or something? it sucks that we lost, but the past is the past and we cannot change that, all we can do is look the future and get better. and no our uniforms are not on lay-a-way. we asked Dr. Poole if we could wear our band shirt and jeans, with our band shoes since it was so hot. you try wearing a 100% polyester uniform, gloves and a band hat with like 2 other layers of clothing. but i can assure you that we will be wearing our uniforms at Lumberton just to make you happy. but the bh band won halftime, i couldn't tell you how many people on png's band were out of step, in the little marching they did, there were so many. and on the field you could barely hear their band they needed to play out more, likes us. but i am not saying we didn't have our problems, i pretty sure a few freshman missed their spots a few times. Hey don't wear them for me.....wear them for you. It looks kind of tacky with the tee shirts and jeans. If ball players can wear uni's and PNG can wear a headress then I'm thinking BH band can show off their uniforms.
