Oh yea there is some issues over there. I think that is why Martel got out of town. He saw it coming. I don't know what the answer is or if anyone really cares.

The worst visitor stands I've attended were Anahuac, Huffman, then Livingston. Anahuac because there are no stands and a 1 hole port-a-potty. Now that they are 2-A they have moved down to expectation. Huffman has added stands somewhat but have no parking for the visitors and the PA guy( the rev. no good) thinks he is the head cheerleader. Livingston is not as bad but no parking and a GIANT oak tree growing in the visitor stands. You guys are right about H-J (no stands) and H-F but like someone said H-F has some great food.

Actually a pretty good artical by the Sun and a very honest evaluation from coach Price.

Hey I really do not care if a player comes from" New York City" if he can play. I'm just saying it would give some locals a shot who get BSed from some D-1 schools for 2 years and get kicked to the curb. As for basketball in SE Texas it is just that. Basketball in SE Texas. You want basketball if have to go to Ball State in Muncie, Indiana to see some awesome Hoops. Been there done that. Even they have trouble drawing in basketball because the local high school team the Muncie Central Bearcats win state about every other year. Maybe we can get Ball States Football team and send them Lamars basketball team????? Just kidding. Ball U. really does have some cool T-shirts though. Use your imagination.

Have not seen Liberty come out of the shoot like this in awhile. Maybe they are for real.

I agree with NeverSayDie. At the 3 and 4a level in SE Texas the guys bring it every Friday. About the only other area I've seen that strong at that level were you could catch a good game every week would be the Texas Hill country. Got some really good ones up there and some good rivalries.

If they bring Lamar football back and use alot of the talent in Jefferson, Hardin, Chambers and Orange counties they will pack the house and build a fan base that will bleed over into other sports. A lot of these kids don't get a good shot at college ball and this would give them an another shot at an education and college football. Start small and set a goal fo going D-1 in 5 years or 10 years or whatever. It would work.

It may sound like we are disagreeing with each other Saturday thru Thursday, but come Friday night we show our true colors (Blue and White) and cheer those EAGLE BOYS ON TO VICTORY!!!! Ya know there comes a time and place to relize that your closer just can't be your closer no more. I think we all see that the season is now over but why keep ruuning Lidge out there to throw 9th inning batting practice. Alot of his saves are not even saves were he shut a team down but that were he just gave up one run less than the lead. Garner...PLEASE quit making us watch this torture...the death of a closer. Looks like he will go down in history as a one season wonder.

Hey 89, With everything I'm seeing that others have wrote and the scouting reports I'm seeing a LOW scoring game. DEFENSE-DEFENSE-DEFENSE. Kind of like the Huffman game a couple of years back, but with more skills on both sides of the ball. I love our EAGLES but I'm not sure if our offense would be ready for a high scoring shoot out just yet anyway.

Eagletown, Yea I forgot about all the Saturday morning foosball back in the day. It sure was BIG WINS to those kids and the Moms and Dads too!A lot of those guys grew up to be EAGLES right? So maybe your like a foosball angel or something.

What I don't understand is how we have went back to the 2000- 2004 offense of taking for ever to run a play and using no creativity. I no I am just a stupid ex-Eagle Dad and I know nothing about football and I need to back to school , become a teacher and get my own team and BLA BLA BLA. Thing is being un-educated like I am I have always relided on common sense and common sense tells me sometimes we don't use it. We have all seen this offense get called for delay of game. You can't blame it on a new QB either because he has been in the system 4 years. Also Pat took over in the middle of the season last year and knew the signals. Maybe we are just laying low until the district games but we say that every year. The good news is that if we had the greatest football mind of all time coaching we would still question him on why he did things. Look at Mack Brown after Saturday, they are calling for his head in Austin. To be a coach you have to have thick skin. Also have clinics with the Momma's because they won't ask hard questions. Should be a good one. Like everyone else is saying if the defense don't run out of gas BH will win by 3 to 7 points. The one thing that has killed the Hill in the past years is speed. Maybe BH can find a few rabbits in the hat but it will be hard to put on a long, time consuming drive until the O-line can push some folks around. GO EAGLES GO EAGLES GO EAGLES.
