Here is what I found. Still trying to verify with the UIL. According to section 1208 (n) of the UIL Constitution and Contest Rules: MASCOTS, FIREARMS, PYROTECHNIC DEVICES, Balloons. Live animal mascots, cannons, firearms, fireworks, etc. are prohibited at League athletic contests. Except in their normal course of business, emergency vehicles shall not flash lights or sound sirens during the course of a game. Noisemakers are prohibited at League athletic events held in field houses and/or gymnasiums. Releasing balloons is prohibited at League athletic events held outdoors. Local school districts are allowed to make more restrictive policies for their stadiums and schools.

I'm still trying to clarify this, but I thought I had read somewhere that it was against UIL rules for emergency vehicles to use their lights and sirens during the game. For instance, when the home team scores and the firetrucks lights flash and the siren sounds. I'm not sure about before the game, but I do think it's against the rules to do it during the game. I'm still checking and will let you guys know what I find out.

I played against Dexter Hebert. He was the best I ever played against. I remember him on a toss play and our little CB came up to tackle him. He hit Dexter in the legs and got a concussion. He made the tackle, but was out the rest of the game.

I definitely think some teams from the 80's could compete with todays teams. I think kids today are bigger and faster, but those 80's guys I think could hang. In Orangefield, some of our better teams were in the 80's and there is no doubt that I think they could hang with our teams of recent years. What do you WOS guys think? Do you think the 85,86,87 teams could compete with last years team? I do. That 87 team may have been the best team to ever come out of this area.

I'm going to try my best to ride by OF and check them out.

Yeah Kicker is wrong, the vistor side sits atleast 7 and GoStangs loves that stadium because he can now finally make a catch because he is so close to the cheerleaders that they throw it underhand to him.

I think Buna has a very good chance of making the playoffs in that district. I just wish we were in it with you guys.

WOW thanks for bringing this up Coop. Let me first tell you when I played in OF it was during a down period for us. My three years on varsity we won a total of 4 games. Yeah thats right 4 games in three years. OK, my sophomore year we are playing Kirbyville and I dropped a TD pass that would have probably won us the game. Thanks for bringing up the bad memories Coop!!

I don't like going to HF. Their visitors stands are horrible. If you have kids with you you have to watch them like a hawk so they don't fall though the stands. Add Buna to my list too. I hate the light poles infront of the visitor stands.
