  3. Thats fine, thats what everyone was saying about Silsbee too. We'll be ok.
  4. If we play with the same enthusiasm we did last night and eliminate the turnovers, we will be ok. Should be another good game. Jasper scares me, they are hungry for that first w.
  5. I'm proud of our guys. They played their butts off tonight. No one gave us much of a chance in this game. We had 4 turnovers and one costly with about 4 minutes in the 4th we fumbled on the 15 and were driving for a chance to possibly tie the game. Nothing to hang our heads about.
  6. OF played WOS last year for homecoming, not by choice though. We were suppose to play Buna, but that was cancelled due to Rita and WOS was the only other home game we could schedule homecoming.
  7. You have to forgive Bleed, he's getting up there in age!!!!!!
  8. Good article. Ben is a good kid from a good family. I like his three wishes in the article.
  9. I saw Silsbee last night and I was impressed. Big and Fast. We will have to play mistake free. We are not real big and not very fast, but we play with alot of heart. If our defense can make some stops, it might be closer than everyone thinks.
  10. Jeff was probably the best overall high school athlete I ever saw. He was an high school all american in football and baseball. Most people remember him as a great pitcher which he was, but he also tied the national high school record for consecutive games with a hit and was third in the 400 meters at the state track meet. At one time he held the A&M strikeout record, not sure if he does anymore and I think he was something like 10-2 as the Aggies starting quarterback. He was a gifted athlete that only come around once in a blue moon.
  11. I deleted JAWS post. That was uncalled for.
  12. I think you're right Gasilla. I believe the OF freshman are 3-0. Our 8th grade group is good too. We are all looking forward to when these guys are jr's and sr's. Our freshman line is just as big as our varsity.
  13. Where the heck is Lumberton? Not sure about this. I think they are easily a top 20 team in 4A.

  19. It's possible, but I really don't see it happening. But anything can happen on any given Friday night.
  20. This is not the so called official poll, that is the TABC poll, but congrats anyway. This poll may acutally be better than the TABC. Here is the 3A poll. Notice 4 teams out of 21-3A in the top 20. That means some good teams sit at home come playoff time. 1 China Spring 2 Kennedale 3 Llano 4 West Oso 5 Abilene Wylie 6 Canyon 7 Navasota 8 Athens 9 West-Orange-Stark 10 Orangefield 11 Liberty-Eylau 12 Silsbee 13 Crockett 14 Brownsboro 15 Liberty 16 Argyle 17 Kirbyville 18 Seminole 19 Kaufman 20 Medina Valley
  21. After all this team and coaches have been through the last few weeks, I can say I've never been more proud of a team than the one I saw last night.
