Liberty Hill ran the Slot T to perfection.  They were far and away the best team I have ever seen run this offense.
If Navarro really runs this offense the right way they could give WO-S a decent game.  But you just can't stop this WO-S offense.
I have been watching WO-S for 30 years now.  This is their best offense yet.  Too many weapons.  Very much like Gilmer and Navasota of the last few years.
The defense is outstanding for sure.  Not sure I would say it was the best they have had in the years I have watched them.   I would rank this one 3rd behind 1987 and 2012.
I have to say that this offense is not as vertical as some of the awesome Gilmer or Navasota offensives, but it sure is fun to watch and see who breaks the next 50 plus yard toss and run or blast up the middle.  I have to say all 3 of these great teams' offenses are pretty much out of the same mold..it doesn't matter if it is 3 and 30 there is no guarantee you can make them punt.
IMO, third best defense ever and best offense ever..yeah I think this is the best overall team I have seen at WO-S.
(I just hope it is Gilmer and WO-S in the finals..that will be a great game and I know WO-S is wanting some revenge!)

To the contrary again. We want a shot to knock off the big dog. We may get our ass kicked.......but we want a chance.
I think y'all are taking me all wrong. I'm just a dude that loves high school football. I like my team just like y'all like yours. But I also don't wear blinders. Lots of good football teams in this state. I keep up with the ones with tradition and history. And those are the ones I enjoy getting to play the most.

Are there any schools wiling to play a Washington State school in weeks 2,3 or 4 for the 2017 football season? We are willing to travel and would love to play at a nice stadium. If so I can be reached at [email protected] ohh yea we are a 3a school with a population of about 1100 students.

You can zero on just about any rural area in the state and find just a couple powerhouses.  Those fast growing areas have sheer numbers.  These rural areas aren't growing and as a matter of fact a lot of the population continues to the houston, dallas, san antonio metro areas.
A lot of it also depends on what you call SE Texas.   If it is just Orange, Jefferson, and Hardin county then you aren't looking at too many school.   Orange county has 5, Jefferson 8, and Hardin 8.
With there being over 1000 high schools the odds of winning just one per year is pretty low.
Harris county has 104 high schools by itself.  Throw in Jasper, Newton, Polk, Tyler, Chambers county and we still have less school than just the metro of houston.
It is not coincidence that a lot of these new schools are doing so well.  These places are attracting families, good coaches and athletes with their top notch facilities and high school programs.

Yes, pretty awesome duo too! Us young folks have pretty good control of our bladders, so no tee tee (urination to the educated folk) but I might squeak loudly if I got to run out AND do the coin toss. Man I can see it now.
Oh and Pig, it's very rude and insulting of you to refer to me as sweetie.
I only chimed in when I saw your asinine comments that you made about people's education. Especially when the one you reference is my husband.
Now that I'm done addressing the geriatric poster that you are, I am going to finish up this UFC fight that I had to pause.

I guess we should all spell check and grammar check before mentioning football for fear that Uncle Pig will Check You!!

Not many highlights for the Longhorns.  We had 2 first downs I believe.  A couple nice kickoff returns; we had quite a few attempts.  A couple good defensive stands.
WO-S speed was over-whelming to say the least.  Mix that in with some good hard running and it was a long night on defense for the Horns.
I was most impressed with the class that was exhibited by both teams.  WO-S did very, very little showboating.  They played with a lot of class and respect for their over-matched opponent.
My Horns gave it what they had and played with good attitudes and sportsmanship.  Wasn't a whole lot of helping each other off the turf, but there wasn't any nasty stuff that you might see sometimes in a lopsided affair.
Our players will look back on this as a learning experience and set their sights on getting better.  This was a rebuilding year for us and it showed.  We lose a few really good seniors, but have a lot of underclassmen who gained valuable experience tonight.
About the only weakness I saw with WO-S is a tendency to over-pursue the ball which leaves the counter and reverse open, but with so much speed what would be a TD or a huge gain against most teams is 8-10 yards against you guys.  That and the inconsistency on the extra points.  Dallas kid can sure boot that ball on kickoffs, why is he not the normal place kicker?
Best of luck to WO-S.  Hope you bring home another trophy to SE Texas.
