At least Vidor can boast of having a been to the playoffs, Lumberton can't say that. In fact I believe that Lumberton is the one and only school in Southeast Texas that has never in their entire history made the playoffs.

I remember when Anahuac was in the "sorriest schools in SE Texas" category. They were there year after year.

Being that WOS is one of the most successful programs in the state, they have a right to be a little boastful.

obviously, lumberton hasn't seen this thread. LOL

coaches are teachers first. We get paid the exact same as teachers. The only difference being our stipend for our coaching duties. This is ridiculous. If I drove a bus as an extra duty I would expect to get paid for it. What sets coaches apart from a teacher that drives a bus is that if that teacher is a bad bus driver he doesn't get fired, he just gets removed from driving a bus. We can get canned for both our teaching and coaching.

Most teams that go 0-10 the previous year stay quiet until they have actually done something! Its kind of like whoopin and hollering about the playoffs when you've never been in 40 years of existence! Walk the walk first and then maybe you can talk the talk.

I'm very sure. Buna scored once on Evadale's 1st D.. I didn't see them running at ease. Evadale's D looked pretty stout and their offense moved the ball well against Buna. This is 1's against 1's. Their JV did run through Evadale's JV though.

I saw the scrimmage as well. Buna did not score 8 times. 1st team against 1st team it was 1-0. Evadale moved the ball very well against Buna. Buna did break a long one on Evadale though when Evadale had 10 men on the field. Buna did score against a bunch of freshmen a few times although I heard that Buna did not have any freshmen on their JV. Both varsity's looked very good.
