I don’t think anyone in 9-3A claims to be in a tough district. It is what it is and they can’t control who is paired with them. I expected Crockett to be better this year but I know they will be back to the Crockett we expect soon. Good research though.

I agree…this game is a toss up to me. I was impressed with the Coldspring defense against Crockett. They were relentless on pressuring the QB and minimizing his running ability. I wouldn’t mind seeing a low scoring defensive battle…14-7 type game.

Yes Coldspring should beat Crockett. Crockett is athletic and fast but they struggled with execution at times. If Coldspring plays the way they have been then they will get the W.

I loved having Franklin in mix. It made the district stronger. Honestly I think Diboll will be on the bubble of moving back up but I hope not because I really enjoy the 3A scene.

I see Diboll and Coldspring playing for the DC, but Crockett and Westwood can’t be overlooked. Crockett usually has enough athletes to be dangerous so Diboll will need to remain focused on defense and contain the big plays. Westwood is athletic as well and I was truly surprised that Diboll shut them out after they dropped 49 on Crockett the week prior. Should be a fun finish!!

Hope we can take care of business against Crockett next week to setup the championship game with the Trojans.

Solid performance by the Lumberjacks tonight against a good CH team.

Good mix of size and speed. The 6’ 5” Foward Chavis has been solid so far.

Diboll upsets #6 Tatum 69-65 Diboll moves to 3-0 after a solid start to the season.

Yeah he certainly has good cuts and vision once he gets in space. I guess I saw that Texas commitment and expected more. Very talented young man for sure.

If Halletsville gets past Lorena it would setup an all District 12 Regional Final between Halletsville vs Yoakum/Columbus. Yoakum seems to be the hot hand right now.

Halletsville has a solid team and used some creative/trick play calling that was impressive. The RB Brooks was good but not spectacular in my opinion. He was a bigger weapon punting the ball. He pinned Diboll inside the 5 on multiple drives. Halletsville has a good shot at winning Region 3 but I did not walk away thinking they would challenge for the state title. Hope they do though.
